ISABEL Lucas says the chaos of Hollywood has taught her a lot about love, life and her own sensitivity.
The 31-year-old actor posed up for the second issue of Jones magazine on Cronulla’s Wanda sand dunes in September and revealed after a string of high profile relationships she had learned to “create boundaries” for herself.
“For people who are quite sensitive, there’s a natural instinct to give, be there for people and not know how to just say no. You really need to honour your own needs,” Lucas reveals in the David Jones magazine, on shelves October 31.
“I try to cultivate a quiet mind, and living in a chaotic place like LA really gives you a run for your money.
“I guess it teaches you how to apply the tools and sustain them, so I do feel grateful for all of the weird illusions that Hollywood projects.”
Lucas, who found fame on the set of long-running Seven soap Home and Away, will return to the small screen next year in the new US TV series Emerald City.
“I play the Wizard’s priestess,” the Jones cover girl says. “She’s intuitive and psychic and highly sensitive. She seems almost naive, but she’s actually very intelligent and means well.”
The LA-based beauty bought a beachside home in Byron Bay in June and is currently splitting her time between the two towns and her parents’ Melbourne home.
