As is the way of many of Australia’s home-grown stars, Isabel Lucas started her career on much-loved TV soap, Home and Away.
The 34-year-old actress played Tasha Andrews from 2003–06, before quitting the show and moving to Hollywood to star in movies such as Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and Daybreakers.
Speaking out in an interview with Stellar, Isabel has revealed the best piece of career advice she’s ever received.
“It’s not all about making money, it’s about growth and being an artist.
“Sometimes you need to take some time out and replenish,” Isabel revealed, as she explained that knowing she has the power to say “no” is something she’s put into practice over the years.
Reflecting on her years working on Home and Away, the actress spoke fondly of her famous co-stars, including Jason Smith and Chris Hemsworth.
“I feel the people I was on the show with were an especially beautiful bunch of people.
“I reflect on it with gratitude and think it was a very sweet entry into the film and television industry. The community on that project were very tight-knit and supportive,” she added.
Isabel relocated from Los Angeles to Byron Bay in 2016, and travels back and forth between Australia and the U.S. for work.
Her rumoured ex boyfriend, Chris Hemsworth, also lives in Byron Bay with his wife, Elsa Pataky and their children, India Rose, Tristan and Sasha.
Chris and Isabel are believed to have dated between 2005 and 2008. They shot to fame together as an item both on and off screen.
