5 years in the making, Minds In The Water is the story of one surfer’s international journey to help protect dolphins, whales and their ocean environment. Shot on location in Australia, the Galapagos, Chile and Japan, the film captures a key moment in one person’s life when apathy is no longer an option. Pro surfer Dave Rastovich went from observer to activist when he embarked on a personal mission to help stop the worldwide commercial slaughter of dolphins and whales. While unsure at first, Rasta quickly found his activist sea legs and helped build a core team of filmmakers, journalists, musicians, eco-pirates and celebrity surfers to help spread the message. All this has been documented in the film, Minds In The Water.

Trivia
- The documentary featured several previously unreleased clips of Isabel’s trip to Taiji, Japan, in October 2007, where she attended the anti-whaling protest alongside Dave Rastowich, Hayden Panettiere and several others. We learned how they were originally just going to do the peaceful paddle-out ceremony, but as they were getting ready to leave the country, they discovered that fishermen were going to kill dolphins in the cove the next day. Isabel and a couple of the others returned the second day for another paddle-out ceremony to protest the killing. This time they were interrupted by brutal fishermen, and had to leave the Cove. This protest were covered by several press sites, and footage has been used in Minds in the Water, The Cove and The TransparentSea Voyage.
