Honey on tap directly from your beehive. Passionate about beekeeping, bees and native pollinators, innovation and education.

She’s an Australian icon who was scouted underneath a mango tree in Cairns and whisked away to Hollywood to become a star. Following a recent break from the screen, ISABEL LUCAS returns with a brand new project and a greater sense of purpose

The week before my cover interview with Isabel Lucas, I’m chatting to a friend (who happens to be a New York photographer) about the questions I plan to ask. “I once sat behind her in a Yoga class,” he tells me. “And I watched her pick up an insect and carry it outside, which I thought was sweet.” This story doesn’t really surprise me—one of the few things I do know about the Australian actor is that she is a fierce environmentalist and an impassioned advocate for animal rights (which must extend to insects) but I write it down anyway. At some point in the nearly six hours that I spend with her in the days that follow, I remove the question from my list—by now, I know that an act of kindness like this would occur so frequently that it would almost certainly fail to register on her radar.

When we speak, Lucas—whose credits include the TV shows Home & Away and MacGyver, as well as the Transformer films—is on the precipice of releasing her very first film as a producer. Titled Lunacy and shot in the Daintree Rainforest, it’s an allegorical narrative which follows six strangers who are invited to a remote retreat. “It explores the degree of lunacy that we often enact and experience as a result of the separation from the natural world and our true self,” Lucas tells me on the phone from her home in Byron Bay. “For me personally, it’s a real snapshot into the lost connection to spirit and to the unspoken intelligence of nature.”

Hello Izzy nation! Over the last two days, Isabel has been a guest at the 2023 Afterpay Australian Fashion Week. Yesterday (May 15), she was in attendance for both the Maggie Marilyn ‘The Best Of It’ Runway Show and the Michael Lo Sordo Runway show. Several high quality photos from the events have been added to our gallery today, and you can find the links and previews below.

However, the most fun surprise came today – Isabel was actually walking the runway herself this afternoon! She walked for the brand AJE, and you can read more about their new collection below. In addition to photos of Izzy on the runway, I’ve merged all the different short clips I could find of Isabel on social media into one video for you. This can be found in our video archives here.

She looks so confident and graceful! Enjoy the new photos and video clips Izzy fans.

AJE PRESENTS // Embodying the evolution and essence of Aje: enter Resort 24 ‘Element’.

Held at the Sydney Modern Project, in the Art Gallery of New South Wales on Gadigal land; Co-founders Edwina Forest and Adrian Norris felt compelled to return to the codes that have defined the house since its inception, distilling their design process down to its pillars—the elements. Raw beauty. Femininity with an edge. A sense of duality anchored in unexpected contrasts. An artisan sentiment. Australian roots.

Recalling the many sultry Australian summers that inspired the house’s coastal-to-urban style, various years’ signatures reemerge refreshed: ivory denim with hand-embroidered patchwork; exaggerated whipstitching across necklines and seams; and floating silhouettes with plissé pleats, wire hems, and gathered ruffle accents—while swimwear is introduced for the very first time.

Arriving from October 2023.

Hi Isabel fans! Izzy recently did a portrait session with Ryan Conduit & Stephanie Zaicew, and she has finally shared some of the outtakes on her social media. She shared some beautiful poems by Timothee Roi Diers alongside the photos, which you can check out here! Enjoy the photos in our gallery.

Isabel recently sat down with one of her favorite people, Zach Bush, to discuss human behaviour, flow and miracles, and so much more! The interview is almost an hour long, which is nice when we’ve been without new Izzy content for so long. Our gallery will be updated with screen captures soon, but for now, enjoy the video below!

Happy new year Isabel fans! We’re starting off the new year well with some news on Isabel’s upcoming film Sons of Summer. The film is set to hit Australian cinemas this Easter, with a multiplatform release in the US slated for mid 2023. A trailer is likely right around the corner now, so check back soon for more updates!

Fremont, CA, USA – Monday, November 28, 2022 – Blackmagic Design today announced that “Sons of Summer,” the long awaited sequel to the 1977 cult classic “Summer City,” was shot with multiple Blackmagic Design digital film cameras and graded in DaVinci Resolve Studio editing, grading, visual effects (VFX) and audio post production software.

The film is the third in the series from legendary Australian producer Phil Avalon, with the original 1977 low budget production introducing Mel Gibson to audiences prior to his breakthrough role in Mad Max two years later. The second edition came in 1988, titled “Breaking Loose: Summer City II.”

Directed by award winning director Clive Fleury, “Sons of Summer” features Australian star Isabel Lucas and New Zealand actor Temuera Morrison. The plot takes place in the same universe as the past films, and tells the story of Sean (Joe Davidson) who is a troubled but charismatic surfer trying to outrun his tragic past.

Sean and his surfer friends decide to take a trip up the coast to honor the anniversary of his father’s death. But his attempt to deal his way out of money troubles catches up with him. He has stolen a load of drugs and now a hitman is on a rampage seeking revenge. With each murder the hitman moves one step closer to Sean and with his girlfriend kidnapped, he needs to hatch a plan to set things right.

When Producer Tim Maddocks was putting the film together he reached out to long term collaborator, DP Anthony Rose, who he knew would create a great look for the film.

“Earlier in the year Anthony and I were on a documentary shoot using a different range of cameras and he mentioned the ease of working with Blackmagic Design cameras by comparison. So when the opportunity arose for him to come on board ‘Sons of Summer’ we talked extensively about the look of the film,” Maddocks said. “I mentioned my love of anamorphic lenses and Anthony came up with the package of Blackmagic cameras to suit our shoot. As a producer, the excellent value for the money was a nice bonus to achieving the filmic look we were after.”

Rose explained that he used a range of different Blackmagic Design products to suit the needs of various scenes, including three URSA Mini Pro 12Ks, an URSA Mini Pro 4.6K G2 and two Pocket Cinema Camera 6K digital film cameras. “We used three 12K cameras shooting in 8K for most scenes as the A and B camera along with the third always rigged on a Steadicam,” he said.

“On top of that, we used the URSA Mini Pro 4.6K G2 for high speed shots and two Pocket 6K cameras for hard to get shots on a gimbal inside cars, and for low profile car mount rigs for the chase sequence.”

Rose, who has directed more than 250 videos and countless TV commercials both in Australia and internationally in a career spanning more than 20 years, said he loves working with Blackmagic Design cameras due to their “filmic look and feel.” He added, “With a tight budget I was able to have multiple cameras pre built and ready to go, which saved time and money. We used the SSD recorders on the 12Ks with 960GB cards so we could basically shoot all day which was a big help. And with minimal lighting in some tricky high contrast and low light conditions I could trust the sensors to deliver.”

Using DaVinci Resolve Studio for grading, the film was produced almost entirely within a Blackmagic Design ecosystem. “Grading footage shot with Blackmagic Design cameras in DaVinci Resolve made it easy to get the look we wanted. We used a 1000 nit monitor for grading and the Blackmagic Design footage really came alive. Our colorist was fresh from grading Elvis and was very impressed with the BRAW files,” Rose said.

Rose said working with Fleury and Producer Phil Avalon was a pleasure. “Clive and Phil immediately had confidence in my approach to shooting the film. With a tight schedule we needed to move fast and be flexible. We decided to shoot anamorphic which was a big step but wanted the film to have a cinematic edge and play with widescreen framing,” he concluded.

Isabel attended the opening of the Cartier flagship store in Sydney last night, and our gallery has been updated with more than 50 high quality photos from the evening. Izzy wore a simplistic brown and white outfit for the high-end event, perfectly matching her new hair colour. She also caught up with fellow actresses Bella Heathcote and her “Knights of Cups” co-star Teresa Palmer at the party, and it looked like she had a fun night. It’s great to finally have new event photos of Isabel, and I hope you enjoy them as much as us!

Luxury jewellery brand Cartier launched its flagship store in Sydney this week with a lavish event reported to cost an eye-watering $3 million.

FilmINK | With Sons Of Summer, legendary Australian producer Phil Avalon is set to deliver a thirty-years-later legacy sequel to his 1977 beachside cult classic Summer City.
Phil Avalon is one of Australia’s true stand-alone producers, a man who has bravely toiled away outside of this country’s mainstream, government funded film industry and notched up a lengthy array of big screen credits. Avalon burst onto the scene in 1977 with the low budget cult classic Summer City, which he wrote and starred in. Though best known as the film that introduced local icons Mel Gibson, Steve Bisley and John Jarratt to Australian audiences, Summer City is also an essential example of independently produced Aussie cinema.

And while Avalon has produced a host of polished genre flicks (Fatal Bond, Liquid Bridge, William Kelly’s War, The Pact), Summer City remains his key release. The producer returned to the film in 1988 with the sequel Breaking Loose: Summer City II, and is now set to go back to the beach once again with Sons Of Summer. “I was originally approached by a US-based financier to remake Summer City,” Avalon explains. “He loved the film growing up, and wanted to see it remade in today’s world. But instead of recreating the ’60s period in a remake, I thought, ‘Why not introduce a brand new storyline, characters and sub plot that will appeal to today’s audiences that aren’t familiar with the original?’”

The currently in-production result is Sons Of Summer, which follows on from Summer City’s events 30 years earlier, but stands alone via a story and characters that will appeal to an entirely new generation of filmgoers. Directed by Clive Fleury, the film stars Temuera Morrison (Star Wars, Aquaman, The Island Of Dr. Moreau, Once Were Warriors) and Isabel Lucas (Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Daybreakers, Red Dawn), with local talent Joe Davidson and Alex Fleri playing pivotal roles. Currently shooting on The Gold Coast (“The Gold Coast has rarely been seen like this before on film. It crosses from the glamourous mansions to the dark, rustic backwaters and incredible beaches in between”), Sons Of Summer is set for an Australian cinema release around Christmas.

Hello Isabel fans! We have quite a few career updates for you today. A new article by IF states that Isabel is a part of an upcoming film titled Little Europe, directed by Franco Di Chiera. You can read about the project below!

In addition, we finally have a title for the Untitled Daniel Askill project Isabel filmed a while back – Lunacy. The plot reads “Six strangers receive an alluring invitation to a rainforest retreat from an enigmatic host, but find themselves trapped by a mysterious force in a surreal psychological test.” There’s currently no release information, but the project now has a post-production status – so hopefully we’ll learn something new soon.

And as if that wasn’t enough – Isabel also has a new project listed on her IMDB, titled Sons of Summer! According to the movie website, they’re currently filming. No plot or other information has been released yet, but it co-stars Temuera Morrison, Christopher Pate, Joe Davidson, Phillip Avalon, Alex Fleri, Jonathan Weir, Victoria Fleri and Alex McTavish. Clive Fleury is the director, with Phillip Avalon and Greg Clayton writing the script.

We’ll of course update you with anything new related to any of the three projects – we love seeing Isabel booked and busy!

Australian-born ex- James Bond actor George Lazenby has signed on to a new Cold War spy drama from Franco Di Chiera that is set to be pitched at the Marche du Film in Cannes this week.

Based on true events that occurred at the Bonegilla Migrant Reception and Training Centre in rural Victoria, Little Europe picks up in 1952 when a spy from ASIO is killed by a Russian assassin, who steals plans for Operation Hurricane, Britain’s first atomic bomb test due to take place in Australia.

ASIO’s director-general (Lazenby) recruits Italian-Australian cop, Joe Rossi (Vince Colosimo) to pose as a new arrival at the Bonegilla Migrant Camp with a mission to identify key communist agitators. As Joe struggles to assimilate and is ostracised by his fellow Italians who are suspicious of him, he enters the murky waters of espionage and grows uncertain of who the enemy really is, placing his assignment and himself in danger. The cast also includes Isabel Lucas as Cynthia, a Soviet spy camp administrator that manipulates the migrants to carry out communist activities.

The script was written by Di Chiera and Jason Agius, whose grandfather’s experience at Bonegilla inspired parts of the plot. Sabella Sugar, of Ultrafilms, is producing the project.

Little Europe is one of fifteen worldwide submissions selected by artificial intelligence platform Largo.ai to pitch at the Cannes Marche du Film.

Di Chiera told IF he approached Lazenby after being reminded of his presence in front of the camera on separate occasions.

“Our memories of him were jolted with the release of the latest James Bond film because they brought out all the former James Bonds to attend the premieres in the UK and US,” he said.

“We thought it was fortuitous he was still working and coincidentally I was walking around our area in South Yarra and there was a big billboard for the Melbourne Gin Company, where he was the subject.

“I thought, ‘oh god I better reach out to him’ because I just seemed to be confronted with him everywhere and thought it must be a sign.

“The wonderful thing is it’s a bit of a play on the idea that from 007 he got promoted to ASIO.”

Di Chiera is hoping to finish principal photography on the project before Christmas, depending on financing.

Of the five-week shoot that is being planned, he said four would be set around the camp, which offered a “pressure cooker” environment.

“I’m interested in (US director) Sidney Lumet’s films as a reference because he often had characters that were stuck in really oppressive and claustrophobic environments, where people’s values get blurred and there are questions over who really is the enemy in this world,” he said.

Di Chiera and Sabella are presently in discussions with distributors about the film.

The 2022 Gold Coast Film Festival wrapped up today, with a closing ceremony and special screening of Isabel’s new film ‘Bosch & Rockit’. Isabel wore a black mini-dress paired with black ballet slippers, a glitzy evening jacket and a gold chain shoulder bag, and showed hew new bangs for the first time in public! I’ve added the first photos we could find to the gallery, but we expect to have more in a couple of days.

For ‘Home & Away’ fans, fellow past cast members Sharni Vinson and Lincoln Lewis were both in attendance at the premiere. I haven’t found any photos of Sharni with Isabel yet (nor am I certain they actually met up at the event) (edit, by Ann: they did indeed! You can find a really cute photo of all 3 of them in our gallery here – and they even met up with a 4th Home & Away alumni, Todd Lasance!)

Hello Izzy fans! This week’s Tasha Thursday is unfortunately a mixed one, as we’ve got some bad news. The reason it’s coming to you late (as well as it only being three episodes this week) is because the drive Sara has kept the 2004 episodes of the show on broke earlier this week. She has tried everything, but no luck. It has now been sent for repair, and we’re crossing our fingers they can retrieve the data, but for now we don’t have access to any episodes between #3714 and #3866. That means, that unless it gets repaired quickly, we’ll have no choice but to continue from #3866 on next week’s Tasha Thursday.

Still, we’ll have plenty more episodes to bring you! We will also add more event photos from Isabel’s years on the show, with the remaining 2005 events + all 2006 events hopefully being up by next week’s TT. Stay tuned!

Isabel’s latest film ‘Bosch & Rockit’ will be screened at the 2022 Gold Coast Film Festival! It’s said that the cast & crew will be in attendance, so hopefully we’ll have some new Isabel photos next month… This year’s Film Festival takes place from 20 April-1 May.

In its 20th year, Gold Coast Film Festival (GCFF) will span the entire city, from Coomera to Coolangatta. The programme features world and Australian premieres, preview screenings and filmmaking talent in its line-up of films, pop-up cinemas, red carpet screenings, industry panels, filmmakers Q&As and special events. Celebration screenings will be peppered throughout the 20th anniversary festival including ‘Scooby Doo’ and ‘Blue Crush’ each celebrating their 20th anniversaries.

Meanwhile, the red carpet will be rolled out at HOTA, Home Of The Arts, as cast and crew assemble for the Opening Night film (and Queensland premiere of) ‘How To Please A Woman’. The film, from award-winning director Renee Webster, features an all-star Australian/international cast including Sally Philips, Erik Thomson, Tasma Walton and Cameron Daddo. It’s a delightfully entertaining, at times outright hilarious film about second chances.

Then, to close things off will be ‘Bosch & Rockit’, a coming-of-age story set against Australia’s surf coast. Cast and crew will assemble on the red carpet for this debut feature/Queensland premiere from Tyler Atkins, starring Luke Hemsworth, Isabel Lucas, Leeanna Walsman and upcoming pro-surfer Rasmus King. More films are set to debut throughout the festival, too. Films such as the world premiere of ‘The Curious Case Of Dolphin Bay’ and the Australian premiere of ‘Waterman’, a documentary narrated by Jason Momoa. (Read more)

Back to regular schedule, we’re bringing you a new Tasha Thursday! We explained on our twitter profile why we took a short break from this feature, but we’re ready to start it back up now. This week I’ve gone through episodes #3699 to #3710, and added caps of the five episodes featuring Tasha – #3702, #3704, #3705, #3706 and #3708. In addition to the new caps, Ann and I have added a bunch of old event photos of Isabel from the years she was on Home & Away. These are either promotional events for the show, or events she attended with other cast members. Almost all our 2004 and 2005 event folders have been updated, and you can view all the new additions here. Based on tags on some of the photos, some seem to come from old fansites which have sadly closed, so credits to Home and Away Web, isabellucasfan.org, i-lucas.org, isabellucasonline.org, isabellucas.net and Home and Away Central!

The episodes screencapped this week saw a lot of action for Tasha! She, Robbie and Kim borrowed Irene’s car without asking to get to Kim’s job interview in the city, but crashed and completely smashed the car. They attempted to flee the scene, but Robbie’s left glasses at the scene of the crash busted them in the end. They then participated in a school lock-in to protest Hyde’s regime at the high school, but being locked in freaked Tasha out. Kim managed to calm her down, exacerbating Robbie’s fears that he’s losing her to him… It’s fun to watch how Isabel got longer and more difficult scenes as time progressed, she really grew as an actress with every episode of the show!

Hello Izzy fans! We haven’t been able to find any new Isabel news/videos/photos lately, so we’ve taken her time off to get a small break ourselves. For those who don’t follow Isabel on Instagram, she has been very busy the last few weeks helping out in the flooded areas in Queensland and NSW. They’ve been hit with some catastrophic floods, which has resulted in many people losing their lives, their homes and all their possessions. Isabel has used her platform to encourage people to help if they’re able to, as well as to inform people in affected areas how they can seek help themselves. Several small organisations have been created to help those who are affected, and the community spirit shown through Isabel’s stories have been incredible.

I’m attaching an article from The Guardian which explains how you can help below, but if you would rather 1) help on the ground yourself, or 2) donate to smaller charities who show through their social media accounts exactly how your donations are spent, I recommend checking out Isabel’s pinned Instagram stories “floods”.

Isabel also seems to have adopted two dogs, and have encouraged others who are able to, to do the same. With the animal shelters being hit by the floods, there are unfortunately many animals without a safe home at the moment.

Is it better to donate to established charities such as the Red Cross or to crowdfunding campaigns? And should you give money, or goods?

More than $13m has been donated to support those affected by the devastating floods in Queensland and New South Wales, and most of the money has been directed towards peer-to-peer fundraising efforts such as GoFundMe. Many of those crowdfunding campaigns have been set up by people living in the flooded regions to cover urgent costs and fund relief and rescue efforts, including more than $20,000 raised to run a rescue helicopter.

Since 24 February, more than $9.6m has been donated across 1,700 fundraisers on the peer to peer platform GoFundMe. About 22% of all donations has been directed towards fundraisers based in the NSW northern rivers region. In Mullumbimby alone, 50 different campaigns have raised a total of $400,000.

One fundraiser, which aimed to deliver food to those affected by the floods across the region, raised $173,834 before turning off donations – far outstripping its fundraising goal of $5,000. But as the waters begin to subside and formal relief agencies move in to begin the long process of helping communities recover, those community-run efforts are being replaced by formal charities.

As of 9 March, the Red Cross Queensland and NSW flood appeal has raised $3.86m, and St Vincent de Paul has raised $162,000. The Salvation Army, which is aiming to raise $10m for flood relief, has repurposed $1m of funds from its Red Shield Appeal to begin initial recovery efforts.

So what should you do if you want to help? Read More

Happy Tasha Thursday! Today we’ve added 1600 new screencaps of Isabel as Tasha in Home and Away episodes #3689 to #3699 (she was not in any of the episodes between last week’s #3684 and #3688). Ann is on a holiday at the moment and I have a lot of work offline, which is why we haven’t been able to do anything but screencaps the last couple of weeks. But next week we hope to launch our new episode guide, as well as share more video clips from the show!

The war between the Summer Bay High students and principal Hyde continued in this batch of episodes, and Tasha got cozy with the principal’s son Kim Hyde – breaking Robbie’s heart in the process! They were eventually able to make up, and their relationship seems to be stronger than ever. Tasha also traveled to the city to help Kane win Kirsty back, which got her in a lot of trouble with Flynn…

Isabel has had a short film titled “Bite The Hand” listed on her IMDB profile for a while now, so today I tried to do some research on the project to find out more about it. It looks like they completed the filming during the Covid-19 pandemic, and the project went into post-production last fall. At the project’s Australian Cultural Fundraiser page, director Minka Bleakley wrote that they would pursue festival submissions following the post-production of the film. Unfortunately it doesn’t look like they managed to raise the funds they had targeted, so I’m not sure if this will have impacted their festival pursual or not…

I will keep searching for information on the project, and let you know if I come across anything new! For now, I’ve been able to find two production stills featuring Isabel from the film which you can find in our gallery. Isabel portrays the character Pixie, and the rest of the cast list includes Paul Henri as Chris, Matt Levett as Dusty and Gabrielle Miller as Nadine.

‘Bite the Hand’ is a short film that follows a young mother struggling to come to terms with her shifting identity. Shot in Northern NSW, the film explores the disconnect between a mother and child isolated from the world.

Words by director, Minka Bleakley: In making this film, I have had the opportunity to explore my anxieties about motherhood through Nadine. I have gotten to feel through certain fears surrounding the bond that a mother has with her child, and what one does when that bond seems fragile, even breakable. There is a significant deficit of stories that address this idea of conflicting identities in motherhood, and of stories that approach the deeply realistic frustrations of motherhood and failure. I hope to fill that deficit with ‘Bite The Hand.’

This project is for all people, and I hope that many will have the opportunity to see it. We intend to complete post-production towards the end of August or the beginning of September, after which we will pursue festival submissions.

This project is deeply important to me for a myriad of reasons, though perhaps first among them is for the necessary social commentary. Far too many women feel alone in their experiences of motherhood, they feel unsupported by a social system not built to address a culture that has transformed the way people parent. This film aims to show a woman struggling with motherhood, and it does not shame, judge, or criticize her for it. Media far too often portrays unachievable ideals of mothers and shies away from a darker dialogue that examines the very real struggles of mothering. This, in turn, isolates women and new mothers, who can feel daunted by the expectations society has thrust upon them. I hope that this story will share a new perspective, one that is necessary for the reshaping of what mothering looks like. I hope that others will share my passion to readdress how women, particularly mothers, are represented in media, and that their contribution might be put towards this goal.

Donations will be used towards all post-production expenses, including editing, sound design, colour work, promotional materials, and festivals. We hope that this film will find a home in the international festival market, and will go on to be seen by many people around the world.

We posted last week that Isabel’s film Bosch & Rockit would have its US premiere at the 2022 Mammoth Film Festival (sadly Isabel was not in attendance herself). The film screened to some great reviews, and won the festival’s Grand Jury Prize! You can read Isabel’s Instagram post about the award below.

The film is set to be released sometime this year, so keep checking back and we’ll update you as soon as we get an official release date.

I’m truly delighted for our beautiful indie film @boschandrockit for taking home the Grand Jury Prize at @mammothfilmfestival this week.

Congratulations to the entire family, everyone who helped catalyse and bring the story to life!

Especially to the boys, @rasmusking and @hemsworthluke, you gave all your heart and one can feel it in the film. Tyler Atkins, congratulations on your a directorial debut and inspiring people with your courageous life-story.

Thank you to @mammothfilmfestival for supporting heartfelt stories and indie filmmakers. We are grateful to receive this from our US peers.

Happy Tasha Thursday, Isabel fans! This week we’ve gone through the next episodes of the 2004 Home & Away season, and added screen captures of all featuring Tasha. These episodes saw the Summer Bay high schoolers fight against the new principal’s extreme leadership, and Tasha grew closer to the new arrival Kim Hyde (played by Chris Hemsworth) to Robbie’s dismay. Isabel was only in 6 episodes between last week’s episode #3678 and #3688, but that’s still more than 1000 new caps in total – enjoy!

Hello Izzy fans! Isabel was photographed grabbing breakfast with some friends out in Byron Bay last Sunday, and I have now added photos to our gallery. Unfortunately these are only MQ, but I’ll try to replace them with HQs later! It looks like Isabel has cut new bangs, and she looks beautiful make-up free and with her usual bohemian style.

It’s unclear of to what extend artists are attached to the event. We’ve reached out for comment, but haven’t not received any clarity as of this writing.

Welcome to another Tasha Thursday – on a Friday! Our bad, sorry. Unfortunately neither Ann or myself were able to go online yesterday, so I hope you won’t mind the post being a day late. This week we’ve continued adding screen captures from Isabel’s next 4 episodes of the 2004 season of Home and Away, #3673, #3674, #3677 and #3678. We’ve also added several photos of Isabel and her co-stars on the set of the show, which neither of us had seen before! It looks like they had a great time filming together.

We’d love to share even more photos from Isabel during this era of her career, so please get in touch with us if you have any photos we’re currently missing. Credit will always be given!

It’s Isabel’s 37th birthday today! We here at Unicorn want to wish her a very happy birthday, hopefully spent with her loved ones. We’re very excited to see what the coming year will bring her, and we wish her all the best both professionally and personally! Thank you for being a great inspiration to us all Isabel, we really appreciate everything you do.

To celebrate Isabel’s birthday, we’ve updated our gallery with some exclusive outtakes from her 2014 photoshoot for Malibu Mag! I personally think several of these are even prettier than most of the released photos from the shoot, so they’re definitely a real treat. I hope you enjoy them! They’re exclusive to Unicorn, so please don’t re-post them elsewhere without proper credit.

Happy Tasha Thursday! This week we’ve gone through the next episodes of the 2004 season of “Home & Away”, and added screencaps from the episodes including Tasha. She was only featured in 5 episodes between #3656 and #3671 – #3659, #3664, #3665, #3667 and #3671 – but the episodes were quite centered around her. This batch of episodes saw Tasha and Robbie grow closer (to several people in the Bay’s massive despair, as their initial influence on each other mostly brought out the other’s rebellious side!), and Tasha becoming convinced Rhys Sutherland was her birth father. Isabel was great in these episodes! It’s impossible not to be charmed by Tasha and her caring, bubbly and slightly naive nature. Enjoy the almost 1000 new screencaps in our gallery.

Since news are slow at the moment, I thought I could share an article Screen Rant just published on how the inclusion of Isabel’s character Alice in “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” added legitimacy to, according to them, the weirdest Transformers toyline – the Pretenders.

With the inclusion of Alice (Isabel Lucas) in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Michael Bay’s movies redeemed the franchise’s weirdest toyline: the Pretenders. While the movie was not particularly well received and won the Razzie for Worst Picture, Alice’s inclusion was a great moment for fans of the series and viewers alike. The result was that it brought a level of modernity to that line of the robots in disguise.

Introduced in 1988 as part of the “G1” line in Marvel Comics UK, and adapted into the IDW and Super-God Masterforce continuities in subsequent years, the Pretenders focused on Transformers that could cover themselves in synthetic organic shells to hide the robot. Thus, they commonly took the form of human beings and would live like regular citizens until they had to attack. The shells on the tie-in action figures were removed from the front and back to reveal the robot within. Unfortunately, this line of Transformers was also met with confusion by many fans who didn’t understand the purpose they fulfilled, and so wouldn’t hide the real robotic characters within properly. Additionally, the subsequent waves of the Pretenders came with several quality issues, and were quickly written off. Ultimately, it was one of the Transformers’ weirdest and least successful subtoylines, but Michael Bay’s Transformers movie somewhat redeems it.

In Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Alice plays a Pretender Decepticon who infiltrates the college attended by Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf). Like her comic/action figure counterpart, her robot self is also disguised by a synthetic organic tissue. However, the movie elevates the concept of the Pretenders and redeems their tarnished reputation among fans by giving the Pretenders a defined story purpose, and a reason for being. It also makes the transformation of the Pretenders conceptually a lot cooler by getting rid of the clunky execution of a removable shell. In Michael Bay’s sequel, Alice’s disguise is unnoticed by the entire college, until she reveals the robotic endoskeleton within, but she’s also able to easily transform back into a human to remain disguised.

Another issue that the movie fixed was that the construction of the Pretenders action figures often limited the mobility of the Transformers within. When removed, there wasn’t much the actual robot encased could do on its own, making the disguise seem more pointless. It also led to scale discrepancies, especially when characters like Bumblebee and Grimlock were added to later Pretender lines as they were far larger than human beings, thereby undermining the entire point of the Pretenders being able to pass as human. The shells themselves also varied in nature. With the Transformers Beast Wars Pretenders, the shells being in the form of animals on Earth addressed the unrealistic size problems, but the figures themselves provided no articulation or even weapons. In Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, however, Alice is properly scaled, practical, and had self-contained weapons, giving her a full range of capabilities. The animal-like qualities in some of her movements was also a nice nod to the Beast Wars line.

While there is still overall some skepticism over the Pretenders and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen as a movie, advances in figure technology and renewed interest in the line may still lead to a resurgence in their shelf lives. Many attempts since to bring back the Pretenders have been made, including the “Power of the Primes” line some years ago. Michael Bay’s Transformers movies are often criticized for making decisions many audiences didn’t enjoy. Still, it’s undeniable that they led to a resurgence of popularity for the franchise that continues to grow. Hopefully, that continues with the spinoff movies on the horizon, such as the upcoming Transformers: Rise of the Beasts.

Happy Tasha Thursday! We’ve reached the 2004 season of the show, and I’ve updated our gallery with Isabel’s first 4 episodes. In these episodes, Tasha finally learned the identity of her birth mother – quickly understanding by everyone’s reactions to the revelation that her mother was not a good person. Already worried she’s a bad person herself, this new piece of information makes her question herself and her life in Summer Bay. She’s also upset that Irene and Flynn lied to her, and decides to move back into the bush by herself to get away from everyone. Episode #3656 then turns things around for her, with Robbie coming into her life.

Since #3656 is Tasha and Robbie’s first episode together, we’ve created a compilation of all their scenes from the episode and added it to our video archive here for those who want to check it out. I really adore their scenes together, and this was a beautiful start to one of our all time favorite TV-relationships! In addition to the scenes from #3656, we’ve added clips from the first 3 intros of the 2004 seasons – airing between January and March 2004. These months saw quite a shift in the main cast of the show, hence the many editions. You can find the 1st here (Tasha, Jade, Kirsty and Kit), 2nd here (Tasha, Jade and Kirsty) and 3rd here (Tasha, Robbie and Kim).

I just came across a new-old video of Isabel when browsing YouTube today and thought I should share it with you! The video was filmed at a festival in July August 2016, but was just uploaded to the site a couple of weeks ago. Isabel looks beautiful!

Update by Ann: Seeing the video Sara posted, I realized I saved some photos of Izzy at that festival last year which I never added to the gallery! They’ve been added now, and you can find the link below the video.

Happy Tasha Thursday! We’ve reached the end of the 2003 season of Home & Away now, and our gallery has been updated with more than 1000 additional screen captures from the season’s final episodes – episodes #3634 to #3650 (the ones featuring Tasha). We’ll start the 2004 episodes next week, and we will also start adding a lot more videos to our video archive once Tasha gets more storylines! But as Sara mentioned last week, please just send us a message if you want clips from a particular 2003 episode added.

These episodes were quite eventful for Tasha! She got kicked out of the high school for trashing it after feeling unfairly treated by one of the teachers, and the episodes also saw her grow closer with Kane once he moved in with Irene. Their friendship takes a dark turn when Tasha learns about Kane’s past with Dani, and she tries to smother him in his sleep to protect herself. In the 2003 season finale (#3650), Irene and Flynn also discovered that Tasha’s real mother is Angela Russell, setting up an exciting storyline for Tasha going into 2004.

It’s Tasha Thursday again! Screencaps of Isabel from the episodes ranging between #3614 and #3631 have now been added (9 featured Tasha in total). Most of this batch is unfortunately extremely low quality, but it’s the best we can find from this era of the show. With the episodes airing over 15 years ago, I think we’re lucky just to have them at all! These episodes saw Tasha getting a crush on Josh, believing that he felt the same way about her. More information about the episodes will be up in our episode guide, which should be ready next week. We will try to recap most of Tasha’s scenes from the episodes we add caps from each week, so stay tuned for that.

We’ve also updated our video archives with the 2003 intro credits and all of Tasha’s scenes from episode #3631. If you want us to add clips from a specific episode, just get in touch with us! We can’t add all due to server space, but we’ll try to add some each week.

Isabel’s upcoming film Bosch & Rockit have been mentioned as one of the 10 biggest Australian movies coming out in 2022! You can view the full list here. We don’t have an official release date yet (there has been mentions of March 1st), but we will keep you updated.

It’s been a weird kinda year for Australian cinema—despite cinemas being crippled by COVID, we had a huge boost in production from companies all over the world, and even some homegrown hits.

You’ve barely had a chance to catch up on all the great local content of this year and it’s already time to look forward to 2022. Scroll to start getting hyped up for another year of idiosyncratic, curious Aussie filmmaking: from some star-studded titles arriving soon, to conceptually-fascinating projects that we don’t even have a date for yet!

Bosch & Rockit
A sun-drenched selection from the Sydney Film Festival, Bosch & Rockit stars Luke Hemsworth as a drug dealer on the run. His surf-obsessed son (Rasmus King) doesn’t know that, though: he’s convinced they’re just on the father-son trip of a lifetime, until reality cruelly catches up. It’s based on debut writer-director Tyler Atkins’ hometown, the gorgeous NSW north coast that’ll look splendid on the big screen.

Welcome to another Tasha Thursday! Sara and I have gone through Home & Away episodes 3596 to 3613 this week, and made screencaps of the episodes featuring Isabel. People who watched the show all the way back in 2003 might remember that this era greatly revolved around the Sutherland family, with Dani facing trial for hitting Kane with her car. Tasha is therefore not featured much in these episodes, but there are some cute moments of her bonding with Kit among the Sutherland-drama! The final episode also hints that we might be seeing more of Tasha in the coming episodes, as Josh shows an interest in her that doesn’t seem all too good-hearted…

You can find the new episodes in our gallery, and I’ll try to add some videos from the episodes this weekend. I hope you all have a wonderful end to 2021 tomorrow! See you all in 2022 for (hopefully lots) more Isabel Lucas.

I hope you’ve all had a wonderful Christmas so far Isabel fans! Here’s a little gift from us here at Unicorn to you all, which we hope will make your Christmas even better. I love this photoshoot, and especially all the adorable jumping shots of Izzy at the second page. Enjoy!

Hello Isabel fans, and Merry Christmas! We hope you’re all having a wonderful time with your loved ones, and that the holiday period will give you rest, cheerfulness and everything else you might hope for. Isabel hasn’t updated her social media accounts yet which means we’re not sure how she is celebrating, but hopefully she’s getting some well deserved rest with her family and friends this festive season. We’ve enjoyed building Unicorn this year, and we can’t wait to update you all on everything Izzy in 2022! In an attempt to spread some holiday cheer, we’ve updated our graphics archive with Christmas-themed avatars of Isabel which you can use on your social media profiles. They’re of course free to use by all fans as you please, no credit needed (but always appreciated). I hope you enjoy them! You can find them all here.

2021 became another unusual year for most of us, filled with insecurity and a lot more isolation than we would have hoped for due to the pandemic and all the restrictions. We’re aware many out there are having a hard time this holiday period, or that the holidays might exacerbate existing struggles. As RTE writes today, “While Christmas may offer a welcome distraction for many people, for others Christmas is a tough and lonely time of year.” If you, or someone you know, are having a tough time this Christmas, we strongly recommend getting in touch with one of the helplines included in this article this, or this. Take care of yourself everyone!

It’s another Tasha Thursday here at Unicorn! We’ve continued from where we paused last week, and added screen captures of Isabel as Tasha in Home & Away episodes 3585 to 3595 (the ones she was in). These episodes saw Tasha learning her real identity, starting school, befriending Kit and Max, and slowly finding out more about her traumatic past. Some of the episodes are merged into groups as the original recordings were done that way, which makes it impossible for us to tell them apart – we hope it’s not a major inconvenience. We’ve also added another video clip to our video archive.

The quality of the screencaps isn’t great, but it’s the best we can get considering the date of the episodes. However, the quality will slowly improve with each batch as we get to the newer seasons! Enjoy the new photos, and make sure to return next week for another Tasha Thursday. And in case we won’t have time to get any more updates in this week – Merry Christmas everyone!

Hello Isabel fans! Today we’ve added well over 200 new scans of Isabel to our gallery, mostly from 2004 to 2008 (2009 to 2021 will be added as a separate update coming soon). The majority of these have been gathered from the web, and we’ve been unable to track down the original scanners to give proper credit. So if you see any photos belonging to yourself, please get in touch with us so that we can either take them down or credit you properly below the scan! It’s hard to find Izzy’s oldest photoshoots, but many of these scans give us a look of previously unseen – by us at least – photos from her “Home & Away” era that are fun to have. Enjoy!

Back in 2004, Isabel won her very first award at the annual TV Week Logie Awards in Australia! She was bestowed the “Most Popular New Female Talent” logie for her performance as Tasha Andrews, and attended the event with Chris Hemsworth. We were hardly able to find any photos of Isabel at the event when we started building Unicorn, which we thought was a pity, as it was obviously a very big night for her. However, we’ve been able to get a hold of some very exclusive HQ portraits from the evening that we’re excited to share with you! Following the ceremony, Isabel was photographed by TV Week alongside her “Home & Away” co-star Kip Gamblin, who won the “Most Popular New Male Talent” award for his role as Scott. Find the gorgeous photos in our gallery!

When we started building Unicorn, we originally wanted to launch the website 100% complete – in other words, having photos and screen captures from all of Isabel’s projects. However, she was on the soap Home & Away for 3 years, which is over 2000 episodes! We eventually decided to launch the site without her HAA episodes, and rather add them with time. That’s how we came up with… Tasha Thursdays! Every Thursday, we will add screen captures of Isabel as Tasha from the next couple of episodes she was in. We have been able to get a hold of all her episodes (with the exception of 3579 and 3580), and each week we will add new caps. The amount of episodes will depend on our spare time that week, but it will usually be around 5-10 episodes. In addition, we’ll add videos from some of Isabel’s scenes, graphics and episode information to our episode guide the weeks where we have additional free time. I hope you’ll all enjoy this regular feature here at Unicorn, and come join us to celebrate Isabel’s introduction to acting every week!

For our first Tasha Thursday, we’ve added screencaps from Isabel’s first episodes on the show – 3564 to 3581 (minus the two mentioned above). These aren’t the best quality due to their age, but it’s great to see Isabel’s first acting scenes anyway! I’ve added two clips to our video archive as well for those who want to check out her very first talking scenes. She really was adorable as Tasha, and it’s fun to see how much she has grown as an actress since she first started out. Enjoy!

Hello and welcome to the grand opening of Unicorn, your newest fansite dedicated to the talented Isabel Lucas! You may recognize Isabel from one of her many projects, such as Home & Away, Red Dawn, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Daybreakers or Careful What you Wish for, or perhaps you’ve spotted her in a magazine at some point in recent years. In addition to being an actress and model Isabel is well known for her activism, and has participated in highly publicized activist stunts such as the 2007 protests against dolphin killings in Taiji, Japan (alongside Hayden Panetierre) and the 2010 mount Kilimanjaro climb with “Summit on the Summit” (alongside Kenna, Jessica Biel and many others). Regardless of how you were first introduced to Isabel, we hope our site can help you learn more about her and her career – and maybe inspire you to check out more of her work!

We have spent pretty much all our spare time in 2021 building this site, and are extremely excited to open at last. Our network is already pretty large – first, we have an extensive gallery holding more than 50 000 photos of Isabel (including many rare HQs). We also have a career archive with detailed information on Isabel’s many projects – but keep in mind that additional information will be added to the pages as we go. Our video archive contains 90 videos (and will continue to grow), our press archives more than 100 articles and interviews, and our main site consists of more than 50 pages with information (such as a complete awards list, original biography and hair styles), detailed information on her activism, media pages (including a large graphic archive) and so much more. We hope you enjoy browsing! Plenty more will be added, and we will launch a new regular feature tomorrow already.

While we’ve been creating Unicorn over the last year, several great friends of us have contributed by either donating photos, videos, information or other resources we’ve used to put things together. Big thanks to Emily for always supporting and donating a lot of videos and photos, Marica for helping us get some rare gems of Izzy, Neide and Elise for being great supporters and always helping out, Claudia for always helping whenever we’ve experienced technical issues or needed help in any ways, Nicole for designing our gorgeous layouts, Kaci for creating the wonderful script we’re using in our career archives, Monica for making the scripts used for our press and video sections and Sarah for helping me get some rare old photos of Isabel. Due to the long building process I’m sure I’ve forgotten to mention someone above, and if so I’m truly sorry, but we both really appreciate all the help we’ve been given along the way. Thank you so much! Further credits can be found on our credits page here. Enjoy the site, and make sure to follow us on twitter! xx Sara & Ann.

Collider did a piece on Terrence Malick’s films this week, ranking all nine of his projects from worst to best. His 2015 film featuring our Isabel – “Knight of Cups” – ranked 6 on their list, and you can read their thoughts on the film below. See the full list here.

Terrence Malick is a fascinating filmmaker, as he’s influenced multiple generations of filmmaking throughout the different stages of his career. Malick was part of the landmark “New Hollywood” filmmakers who emerged in the 1970s, yet took a twenty year absence until he reemerged in the ‘90s. Malick’s work entered a third stage in the last decade, in which he seemingly abandoned all constraints of narrative structure, and pursued experimental work.

Malick’s work is often beloved, and his reclusive public persona is consistent with the mystery that surrounds each of his films. It’s never entirely clear when Malick’s next project is coming, as he often extensively retools his stories in the editing room, leading to many famous situations where storylines or entire performances are diminished, reframed, and even deleted.

Malick is currently working on his latest feature The Way of the Wind, which officially added Mark Rylance, Douglas Booth, Matthias Schoenaerts, Géza Röhrig, Joseph Fiennes, Lorenzo Gioielli, and Aidan Turner to its cast. Little is known about his next film other than it is a retooling of different chapters of the Christian religious text, and will surely generate the controversy that is inherent to adapting Biblical material.

Malick continues to fascinate, infuriate, and inspire film fans, and nearly fifty years after his debut, he remains one of the essential working filmmakers. Here are all nine Terrence Malick films, ranked worst to best.

6. Knight of Cups
Perhaps the most underrated film within Malick’s entire filmography, Knight of Cups shouldn’t have worked on paper. It actually couldn’t have worked on paper, as while Malick had loose story outlines, none of the actors received any actual pages. Malick frequently relied on improvisation, placing actors in unknown scenarios and gauging their authentic reactions. The result is a string of loosely interconnected realizations on the nature of healing.

Knight of Cups is a celebration of excess, and given the subject material, it’s appropriately a hard film to follow. Following the exploits of grieving screenwriter Rick (Christian Bale), the film’s story unfolds in eight mini-chapters as Rick reenters the world and experiences indulgence, pain, temptation, and ultimately love. The final chapter, in which Rick finally begins to see a path forward through the guidance of the enchanting Isabel (Isabel Lucas), is a surprisingly sentimental conclusion to the madcap insanity that preceded it. Isabel posted a new video on her Instagram today, showing herself frolicking around the beach in Byron! The clip is visually gorgeous, and features the beautiful song “Stand by Me” by Tracy Chapman. Accompanying the new clip, Izzy shared a message from White Eagle, Hopi Indigenous Elder, with her video, which you can read below.

‘This moment humanity is going through can be seen as a portal and as a hole. The decision to fall into the hole or go through the portal is up to you. If they repent of the problem and consume the news 24 hours a day, with little energy, nervous all the time, with pessimism, they will fall into the hole.’ ‘Don’t feel guilty about being happy during this difficult time. You don’t help at all by being sad and without energy. It helps if good things emanate from the Universe now. It is through joy that one resists.’ ‘Also, when the storm passes, you will be very important in the reconstruction of this new world. You need to be well and strong. And, for that, there is no other way than to maintain a beautiful, happy and bright vibration.’ Message from White Eagle, Hopi Indigenous Elder (16/3/2020). Song by Tracy Chapman – Stand By Me

Isabel was photographed out in Byron Bay on Sunday (October 24), holding her own little mini-market! Izzy was snapped selling clothes and shoes, and by the looks of it, quite a few people stopped by to have a look. We don’t know why she was getting rid of the outfits yet, but we wouldn’t be surprised if it was to collect money for one of the many charity organisations she supports! We will update you if if we learn anything new.

“I love the quote ‘be the change you want to see’ – you can apply it to relationships, friendships or the environment.” –

The National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF)

The National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) is Australia’s leading national body funding world-class, game-changing breast cancer research. 9 Australians lose their life every day to breast cancer. NBCF receive no government funding, and need your continued support to change the statistics.

In 2004, Isabel served as a spokesperson for the Australian National Breast Cancer Foundation. She appeared in ads for their “finding the cure, finding the cause” fund-raising, which involved selling pink armbands with the statement written on them. The NBCF breast cancer bands were sold for $2.50 per piece, and a photo of Isabel wearing the arm band (and a pink ribbon t-shirt) was used in several magazines to promote the fund-raising.

World Vision

World Vision’s focus is on helping the most vulnerable children overcome poverty and experience fullness of life. They help children of all backgrounds, even in the most dangerous places, inspired by their Christian faith. “Together we can protect children today, and empower them for tomorrow”, they state.

2004: Home & Away star Isabel Lucas is not just a pretty face, she’ss warm-hearted as well. The young actress and her family sponsor 10 children in different countries through World Vision. Next month Isabel will be urging people to help out with World Vision’ss annual appeal to sign up 10,000 new sponsors for 10,000 of the world’ss poorest kids which starts July 4. For more details go to www.worldvision.com.au

40 Hour Famine by World Vision

In 2004, Isabel was a spokesperson for World Vision’s 40 Hour Famine, a a World Vision event that is being held in 21 different countries. It started in 1971 when 17-year-old Ruth Roberts and 14 friends in Calgary, Alberta staged an event in a church basement to see what it was like to be hungry and raise money and awareness for children suffering during a famine. The funds raised went to World Vision. The event aims for young Australians to feel empathy for the lack of food which children in third world countries struggle with and to raise money to help children in these countries. It was started in 1975 in response to the famine in Ethiopia. Participants must first raise money through sponsorship from other people. Participants must then abstain from a particular group of items or do/not do something for 40 hours. Some of the famines include not eating food, not using first world technology such as television, refraining from talking, and not using furniture. Some participants create their own famines, such as living in a cardboard box or being blindfolded. The event officially runs from 8 pm on Friday to noon on Sunday, usually over a weekend in August. Participants may choose another time to fast if the official famine dates do not suit them. Children who attend primary school (usually between the ages of 4 – 12) are encouraged to participate in the 8-hour famine for safety reasons, instead of the usual 40-hour famine.

Christmas Angel Ambassador

As their new ambassador of 2004, Isabel became World Vision’s official Christmas Angels Ambassador. A photoshoot of Isabel as an angel was used to raise awareness about world poverty. The angel she posed with would be donated to anyone who signed up to sponser a child during the campaign, which ran throughout the festive period of 2014. The photos were also used in World Vision’s annual Gift Catalogue, which provides the opportunity to give a gift that will make a difference in the lives of vulnerable children and families.

The Humour Foundation

The Humour Foundation’s mission is to enhance wellbeing, lift spirits and improve health through insightful connection, creative play and joyful humour. Clown Doctors transform the hospital experience for children, families and staff.

Isabel has been a supporter of the Humour Foundation for as long as she can remember, and in 2004, she and her Home and Away co-star Jason Smith participated in the Clown Doctors program ran by the foundation. On April 1st, 2004, (for the national smile day!) they visited sick kids in hospitals to raise awareness about the value of clown doctors.

“I think humour is such a beautiful thing. When people are in hospital sick, tired and ill, the one thing that can brighten them up is humour. It is such a healing thing and makes you feel good” – Isabel, 2004

Life’s glum when you’re in hospital, especially for kids, but Home and Away’s Jason Smith and Isabel Lucas want to help change all that. They’re supporting The Humour Foundation’s Clown Doctors program in the hope that more children can benefit from the organisaton’s unique form of laughter therapy. “You can’t explain the emotions you feel when you go in and meet these kids,” Jason says. “You don’t know what you can do for them, but if you can put a smile on their face and make them happy, then that’s a worthwhile thing.” – From a 2004 issue of TV Week Magazine

“I grew up around animals and I’m rebelling against them not having a natural existence.”

WWF

The World Wide Fund for Nature is an international non-governmental organization founded in 1961 that works in the field of wilderness preservation and the reduction of human impact on the environment. It was formerly named the World Wildlife Fund, which remains its official name in Canada and the United States.

In 2006, Isabel joined forces with WWF to help save the leatherback turtle. The mission was to raise awareness about the endangered species, as well as make fans aware that individuals’ actions can help the environment. “We have never been in a situation before where the choices and actions of one generation have such an impact on our future,” Isabel told Aussie newspaper The Sunday Telegraph in April, 2006. “We can’t afford to wait until governments and leaders show some responsibility. It’s time for individual action.”

In 2021, Isabel was also a part of WWF’s “I will if you Will” campaign, which served as a promotional campaign for the 2012 Earth Hour. Earth Hour is a WWF event that is held every year, and is currently the world’s largest mass participation event that has become the iconic symbol of people’s commitment to protect the planet.

FlowHive

Honey on tap directly from your beehive! Passionate about beekeeping, bees and native pollinators, innovation and education. Flow is a revolutionary beehive invention, allowing you to harvest honey without opening the hive and with minimal disturbance to the bees.

I love the magical way bees embody the art of collaborative service. Each with their unique role. I began learning beekeeping in my 20’s in LA when I adopted a traditional langstroth beehive. I still find it amazing that this earth would not have blueberries, cherries, cucumbers, avocado, apples, oranges (the list goes on) if it weren’t for these sweet pollinators.

Did you know, bees pollinate at least one in 3 bites of the food we eat and 90% of our wild plants? They are a vital part of our world and are facing an alarming decline.

If you’re curious to become a bee steward, @flowhive offer courses and starting kits. @Flowhive use all certified sustainable timber, made made in Australia. The pollinators will thank you with their humming song of peace, and gifts of raw honey.

OZ Quest

Ozquest’s core competency is organising expeditions for young people. It’s vision is to be recognised and respected as an organisation that challenges and improves young people whilst contributing to the global community. It enables young people to discover their potential through expeditions to “challenging” countries such as Vietnam, Nepal and Borneo. These expedition involve adventure, science and community service. Ozquest is limited to those aged between 18-30. It is affordable and accessible. It offers a balance between fun and hard work. It encourages involvement by all and recognition of achievements (big and small). It encourages initiative, leadership, teamwork, trust and respect for the individual. It offers the chance to learn from each other and the surroundings in which they are in.

In 2006/2007, Isabel worked with OZ Quest to help herd Elephants in outer Namibia. “The elephants were metres from us as we were trekking in the wilderness. We had to be so careful, it was incredible and nerve-racking,” Isabel said about the project. Isabel was in Namibia to do volunteer community work for two months. She’d signed up with Ozquest: Young Australian Adventures, an organization for 18 to 30-year-olds that offers programs to achieve the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. “Its aim is to combine adventure travel with volunteer community work,’ Isabel said following the trip. “They travel to developing countries and set up projects that will have an immediate impact on the local people. “My sister Nina went to Nepal with Ozquest three years ago and I’d been wanting to do something similar since.”

When her contract with Home and Away expired, Isabel – ignoring film and TV offers – couldn’t wait to get away and forget showbiz for a while. ‘Its important when you’re young to experience different countries through travel; it gives you a greater perspective on life and yourself,’ she reflects. With best friend Zoe, Isabel joined eight other young Aussies on an African adventure, and the group bonded over campfire meals at their base on the outskirts of Windhoek, the nation’s capital.

‘I loved our group,’ she smiles. ‘We formed deep friendships.’ Isabel’s first project was to help build a water trough for roaming elephants near one of the villages. ‘The wild elephants are a huge threat to the communities when they come to seek water,’ she explains. ‘Our job was to build a large trough at a safe distance from the people to divert the elephants.’

For 10 days they toiled, collecting rocks and sand and mixing cement to build a jumbo-sized drinking fountain. ‘We were up at 5am to be at work an hour later,’ she recalls. ‘It was very hot – up to 45 degrees. It was hard physical work but it felt rewarding as we knew what a significant difference we were making to the people there.’

Isabel’s next task was to turn a patch of sand into a vegetable and fruit garden. ‘This project was situated in Sossusvlei, where the largest sand dunes in the world are. If you saw the area we were working on you wouldn’t have believed it was possible!’ she says. The final phase for the group was a grueling eight-day trek. ‘We carried our backpacks with bare essentials and eight litres of water through the African wilderness,’ she says.

‘We’d often go for days without bathing and we all suffered blisters and were physically exhausted, which was all part of the experience.’ Now back in Australia, Isabel is turning her attentions once again to acting. ‘I’m currently doing drama studies and I’ll be auditioning for some local and international films as well as considering theatre,’ she says.

Currumbin wildlife sanctuary

Currumbian Wildlife Sanctuary has been conserving native wildlife and nurturing the local indigenous heritage for over 70 years. This regional treasure has also been educating and entertaining families and tourists from all across the globe. The animal attraction is at the heart of Gold Coast history.

Learn about some of the work Isabel has done related to education!

School’s Environmental education curriculum

In 2009, Australia launched an educational initiative to inspire school children to preserve the environment. Isabel and Dame Elisabeth Murdoch visited the sustainable-designed Williamstown High School in Melbourne’s west on May 8, 2009, to launch the program. In the following days, Isabel visited several schools to discuss the initiative and meet with students. One of the schools she visited was her old college, St. Monica’s College in Cairns, Queensland.

The Living in 2030: An Experiment in Survival curriculum is a set of educational resources that invites students to imagine a world 20 years from now where environmental solutions have not yet been found to pressing issues including global warming. Students must then find solutions to the problems. Dame Elisabeth is the patron of the Global Green Plan Foundation, which along with corporate company Fuji Xerox, will distribute the curriculum materials to other schools. After touring the high school’s impressive grounds, which include a vegetable garden and water tanks, Dame Elisabeth said children had an important role to play in preserving the environment. “I think the future is in their hands,” she said.

After touring the high school’s impressive grounds, which include a vegetable garden and water tanks, Dame Elisabeth said children had an important role to play in preserving the environment. “I think the future is in their hands,” she said. Steve Cook, principal at Williamstown High School which has trialled the program, said students had responded with optimism and creativity to the program. “The work produced by our students involved in this program is characterised by their creativity, passion for the environment and a real desire to make a difference,” he said in a statement. “The curriculum provides facts whilst capturing imaginations and developing skills to address environmental challenges.” Global Green Plan Foundation vice president Don Hewett said about 10 other schools in Melbourne had expressed an interest in the curriculum. La Trobe’s Aspire Program

La Trobe’s “Aspire” Early Admissions Program rewards involvement in community, leadership and volunteering with an early conditional offer in September into their chosen course at La Trobe. The initiative is designed to reward secondary students who have actively engaged with their community through volunteering and service, by providing early offers into La Trobe even before they’ve completed their final year exams, let alone received an ATAR score.

In August 2016, Isabel, model Laura Henshaw and AFL player Luke Mcdonald joined forces to promote La Trobe University’s Aspire program at the Melbourne campus. There they assisted in providing sustenance for the masses with a ‘Pay-It-Forward-Pizza’ initiative, whereby people who received a pizza from the three stars were encouraged to pass their empty pizza box to a stranger, which could then be redeemed for a fresh one.

“Climate change is an issue that affects everyone at every level – no matter how rich you are or where you live on the planet, we’re all in this together, so there’s an opportunity for this to be a really unifying thing for the world.” – Isabel on Climate change

Earth Day

Earth Day is an annual event on April 22 to demonstrate support for environmental protection. First held on April 22, 1970, it now includes a wide range of events coordinated globally by EarthDay.org including 1 billion people in more than 193 countries.

“May we acknowledge the intrinsic connection we have with the Earth. And muse on how this planet is alive. To thrive, we need to care for our ‘inner nature’ and our ‘outer nature’. May we appreciate and feel the sentience existing within our living Planet Earth and within ourselves. All life deserves our feeling and respect. May we all rest in moments of grateful reflection today.” – Isabel, Earth Day 2021

National Tree Day

National Tree Day, proudly sponsored by Toyota Australia, was co-founded in 1996 by Planet Ark and Olivia Newton-John. It has now grown in to Australia’s largest community tree planting and nature protection event as we strive to see over one million new trees, shrubs and grasses planted each year. National Tree Day is a call to action for all Australians to put their hands in the earth and give back to their community. Each year, about 300,000 people volunteer their time to engage in environmental activities that educate individuals about the world around them. It’s a day to venture outdoors and get to know your community, and most importantly, to have fun!

It’s very clear that there’s many people in this community that are really concerned about this 5th generation untested technology and it feels so important to be able to have these peaceful gatherings and talk and communicate so we can have our heartfelt intentions and concerns heard and adhered to by council

“If you don’t personally believe 5G is harmful, that’s okay but may I gently ask, what could be lost if we all paused for a moments re-evaluation? If there is a possibility that a re-evaluation could benefit our global health and humanity, is it not worth it?”

There is a topic right now, I feel more strongly about than any issue I’ve felt called to campaign on before. But the question I keep facing is, how do I express it while remaining in my heart, empowering myself and others? When I consider this topic, I feel an incredible urgency and deep concern – the emotions of fear and anger arise. When I speak from this place, I know it’s not responsible, it infects others with fear and anger. I’m seeking guidance on how to ‘be the change we want to see’ whilst also naming the wrongdoing, the elephant in the room. Akin to the #metoo movement, there was a necessity to name the wrong-doing so light was shed on the topic so then the necessary alterations could be made for respect and fairness to prevail. This is how I am feeling about 5g. My main questions are, why has 5g microwave radiation technology not tested as safe? Why are 3,240 medical doctors and 250 top EMF scientists around the world signing the International Appeal to Stop 5G on Earth and in Space, (the numbers are growing every day) https://www.5gspaceappeal.org Why is there so many conflicting, misleading articles? Why was the telco testing done on a plastic dummy rather than a human? #wearenotsam @wearenotsam Why have we, the people, not been given the choice if we want this in our communities or not? And, why has it been proven that microwave radiation (EMF) is a powerful immune suppressant, harmful to humans, animals, plants – yet the telco companies are still installing the towers on top of schools, hospitals and near our homes, at prolific rate globally, whilst we are in lockdown? My research has shown me that fiberoptic hardwired cabling is the solution to our need for connectivity – unless independent 5g testing is proven safe. I am delighted and inspired to share that the Byron Shire in Australia is the first place to put a moratorium on a 5g tower upgrade. Along with Glastonbury, the Capital of the EU Brussels, Kalamata in Greece, amongst others. When the community uses it’s voice it is clear that — the power is with the people, not with the people in power.

I’d do anything for Charity
– Isabel (jokingly) when asked if she’d pose nude for Charity on Rove, 2009

Sea Shepherd

Sea Shepherd is an international, non-profit marine conservation organization that engages in direct action campaigns to defend wildlife, and conserve and protect the world’s oceans from illegal exploitation and environmental destruction.

In 2009, Isabel filmed a PSA for the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society. During her appearance on “Rove Live” to promote “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” (June 14, 2009), Isabel mentioned that she would love to support the organisation. The Australian director of Sea Shepherd, Jeff Hansen, explained that they got her on board for a 30 seconds long PSA, which was filmed during the winter of 2009, and the advert came out while Isabel was climbing Kilimanjaro with “Summit on the Summit”. Jeff Hansen further stated that Isabel didn’t charge them a single cent for her time and work. Their press release said the following about Isabel: “Sea Shepherd could not think of a more brave, passionate and dedicated activist and friend of the whales, than Isabel Lucas, also known for her role in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Isabel has stepped up for duty for the oceans numerous times, including raising international awareness by attempting to stop annual slaughter of dolphins in Taiji, Japan in 2007. Despite a busy filming schedule on the set of the Wolverine Production of Red Dawn in the United States, Isabel readily made herself available to become the face of Sea Shepherd’s Save the Whales announcement. With the recent loss of the Ady Gil, Sea Shepherd is now back down to two vessels, the Bob Barker and the Steve Irwin, up against nine vessels of the illegal Japanese whaling fleet.”

The story behind the video
“The Sea Shepherd Conservation Society is proud to announce the Australian launch of our new “Save the Whales” public service announcement (PSA) featuring renowned actress Isabel Lucas.

The announcement is work of Melbourne advertising agency Starship who approached Sea Shepherd with the concept for the awareness campaign. Starship’s Managing Director Geoffrey McDonald Bowll said his team felt compelled to support Sea Shepherd’s work protecting the oceans.

“Starship wanted to design, build and promote a PSA for Sea Shepherd to raise much needed funds to shut down whaling in Australia’s Southern Ocean Whale Sanctuary,” said Geoffrey.

“We hope that through our support and this announcement, one day Sea Shepherd will have an entire fleet of vessels defending the oceans for future generations,” he added.

Along with Geoffrey McDonald Bowll and Production Manager Matthew Peek, the team at Starship worked tirelessly to put together three storyboards, which were then put through rigorous testing to come up with a final design. All that was then needed was the right voice to speak out for the whales.”

In addition to the PSA, Isabel later also modelled T-shirts for the brand, were the profits would go to the organisation and their work. Photos from both the PSA and T-shirts can be found here. In 2013, Isabel once again appeared in a TV ad for the organisation, which ran across the Southern Cross network during September and October 2013 (screen captures here).

In 2018, Sea Shepherd congratulated Isabel on her birthday, saying “Big Happy Birthday shoutout to Isabel Lucas from Sea Shepherd!! Thank you for being such an amazing supporter! We really appreciate all that you do!“. When the organisation did a journey to raise awareness for the proposed disatrous Carmichael Adani coal mine later that same year, Isabel took to her social media to promote their work:

Sea Shepherd’s M/Y Steve Irvin is journeying along the coast from Melbourne, Victoria, to Abbot Point, Queensland, to raise awareness for the proposed disastrous Carmichael Adani coal mine that would put our Great Barrier Reef under the most serious threat. Home to reefs, corals, colourful fish, endangered turtles, dolphins, whales and sharks the GBR would have to endure much increased ship traffic and above all more carbon emissions in the atmosphere from the burning of coal causing global warming, bleaching, and death to the reef. Please, welcome the Sea Shepherd crew and visit the ship.

Protect our coral sea

Our Coral Sea is a beacon of hope. It is one of the last places on Earth where ocean giants – sharks, tuna, marlin – still abound and its vibrant coral reefs still pulse with the rhythm of life. The Coral Sea Marine Reserve is an important step towards safe-guarding this marine jewel for the future. From thickly forested islands to small sandy cays, beautiful coral reefs and yet to be explored reef slopes and deep sea canyons; the Coral Sea contains 49 different habitats and supports over 300 different threatened species. Protection of this special and important part of Australia would provide a safe haven for its marine life and a globally significant ocean legacy for generations to come.

In 2011, Isabel helped “Protect Our Coral Sea” fight to preserve Australia’s Coral Sea by having it declared a protected marine park. The organisation created a campaign urging government officials to regulate the amount of fishing and seabed mining in the Coral Sea, which lies just off Australia’s north-east coast, and Isabel helped raise awareness to the campaign.

In a blog for the Huffington Post, she wrote, “When I learned that only one per cent of Australia’s Coral Sea was protected, I was stunned. I’ve become passionately involved with the Protect Our Coral Sea initiative, which aims to create the largest marine park in the world. It would protect a huge diversity of habitats from tropical coral reefs, to species living in the open ocean, to a huge pool of biodiversity living in the depths of the ocean that we don’t even know about yet. It would serve as a place for inspiration, enjoyment and where the ocean’s species – whales, dolphins, sea turtles, rays – will all have a safe haven forever.

Together with her then-boyfriend Angus Stone, Isabel also shot and shared a music video where they encouraged fans to join them in their fight. It was titled “Coral Sea Love“, and featued Julia Stone’s song “In The City of Lights”. The video was uploaded to ProtectOurCoralSea’s official Youtube account on June 3rd, 2011, with the accompanying text “Protect our Coral Sea gives everyone a ‘don’t it always seem to go that you don’t know what you got ’til it’s gone’ opportunity to protect our precious Coral Sea for our children’s children to enjoy. We believe it is our duty, together, to protect & love these beautiful sea creatures and their ecosystems living in this great oceanic garden” written by Isabel and Angus. The further encouraged people to send a submission to Environment Minister Tony Burke at www.protectourcoralsea.org.au.

In November, 2011, it was announced that “The Australian government has announced plans to establish the world’s largest protected marine area in the Coral Sea”, proving the campaign succesful.

Action for Dolphins

Action for Dolphins, formerly known as ‘Australia for Dolphins’, is an animal welfare charity committed to achieving international protection for small cetaceans. The organisation aims to end dolphin hunting and captivity, by using legal action and strategic advocacy.

In 2016, Isabel filmed an ad for Action for Dolphins where she protested dolphin captivity. The ad, which ran for three weeks through the holiday period in 2016, launched across the north coast of NSW and primarily targeted Coffs Harbour’s Dolphin Marine Magic – one of two venues along side Sea World on the Gold Coast which still holds captive dolphins. Isabel has also repetedly shared and promoted the work of AFD on her instagram profile.

‘As some of you may know, I care deeply about dolphins. In 2007 I went to Taiji, Japan, to witness the cruel dolphins hunts and slaughters there, but the thing is, dolphins are also being treated cruelly back home. They are being bred in tiny, chlorinated tanks and made to perform. They never get to know the ocean, many suffer anxiety and mostly they die young. That is why I’m behind @australiafordolphins efforts to introduce a law to end dolphin captivity.’

This page is a work in progress. More to come…

Nutrition and Vegetarianism

Isabel has stated that “where possible, I try not to categorise myself as anything at all. To be transparent, I am vegetarian.” Animals and their rights have always been extremely important to Isabel, and she is therefore conscious about any animal products she consumes. While she’s not completely a vegan (she eats eggs) she has her own chickens who they handle with love and “take care of in the backyard where they have ample space to roam and much vegetation” (quote by Isabel from November 2021). She names all her chickens, and they are treated as a part of the family.

Isabel is passionate about original indigenous Australians or Native Americans custodians, wisdom and perspectives related to nutrition and animal care. “I like to listen to how the elders and the chiefs communed with nature for centuries before. How they communed with the land, and in particularly the animals, (sometimes referred to as their ancestors). It’s sacred to learn of their visions, practice and ceremony. I hold space for many perspectives here.” The traditional food they consumed were supposed to be good for physical health, while also promoting cultural, spiritual and emotional health.

Ayurveda

Isabel has repeatedly turned to Ayuerveda for a holistic treatment to overcome some of the many challenges her professional life has come with. “Hats off to India and Indian system of medicines.” Isabel learned about the treatment from her friend Julia Stone. You can read more about Isabel’s visit to Arogya Nikethana Ayurveda Ashrama in 2017 here (in our press archives).

Ayurveda, a natural system of medicine, originated in India more than 3,000 years ago. The term Ayurveda is derived from the Sanskrit words ayur (life) and veda (science or knowledge). Thus, Ayurveda translates to knowledge of life.

I’m going to India for a month to do an Ayurvedic treatment… …and to do a writing project. The treatment is with a family run business, it’s tiny and very basic. Just simple, like they bring you hot water to shower with and it’s very modest. I’ve been before and it’s really beautiful.

Crystals

Isabel doesn’t travel anywhere without her crystals. She states that it is important to bring with you things that will make you feel grounded or comfortable in a space when you travel, and her crystals have always done that for her. “I collect crystals and gemstones, and I’ve been collecting them since I was a little girl. They give me positive energy and strength. They make me feel connected to the earth. I cherish them.

Holding crystals or placing them on your body is thought to promote physical, emotional and spiritual healing. Crystals supposedly do this by positively interacting with your body’s energy field, or chakra. While some crystals are said to alleviate stress, others purportedly improve concentration or creativity.

May the waters of your being

March 29, 2021:

kaleidoscopic sun pashes
rainbows dancing on her lashes

ribbons of possibilities exist
in a universe conspiring to assist

no matter how turbulent the sea
1k under a stillness she couldn’t foresee

March 6, 2021:

Listening to the rain and forest fairies,
whispering their prayer to the softening soil

Laying on wet dark emerald leaves

Each sigh leaving a trace of silver for the sky
Never unsettling the silence from which they came.

Earth for cups, water for tea, fire for warmth, air for breath.
Friendship for love strength tears softness trust wonder and magic.

Through the years, Isabel has been rocking everything from long, blonde tresses to a beautiful honey colored pixie cut. In 2014 alone, she had a pixie cut, dark brown hair, brown hair with highlights, platinum blonde and honey-blonde! Here you can take a look at all her different hair styles – maybe you’ll find some inspiration for your next big occasion? If you hover over the images, you’ll find the year of the style + which event the photo is taken at. To view more photos of the look, click the photo to open the respective gallery album in a new tab/window.

Want to get Isabel’s pretty hair? Well, she has shared in an interview that her number one beauty tip is to use Aloe Vera Gel in her hair! “This is a little quirky, but I use aloe vera gel on the roots of my hair, then pin it up for 15 minutes while it dries. It works to add [texture] to your hair, and it’s also good for your scalp and skin.” Further, she loves to add various accessories to her hair to make the style pop a little extra, such as jewelry, feathers or a nice scarf. Out of all the different accessories, feathers are her favorite – in an interview with Beauticate in 2017, she shared that “A few of my favourite things are these beautiful feathers that I wear in my hair“!

Other hair quotes by Isabel
– “I use Argan Oil in my hair… …and I also love Moroccan Oil and use Aveda Be Curly Curl Enhancing Hairspray.”
– “I have a colourist in Melbourne, Lauren, and one in Byron, Brianna.

Hair-o-Graphy: Blonde

When Isabel first entered the spotlight through her role as Tasha Andrews in “Home & Away“, she sported a natural blonde hair color with brown underneath. After a few years as a brunette (2006-2011), Izzy once again went back to her blonde tresses in April, 2011. She then rocket a more honey-colored blonde for a few months, before turning platinum blonde around August 2011. She then went back to being a brunette in 2012, before appearing as a blonde again at the Y-3 10th Anniversary Collection at the 2013 MBFW on September 9, 2012. Regardless of tone and style, we think Isabel looked stunning with all the different blonde variants – see for yourself in our hair-o-graphy of all her blonde event looks below!

Hair-o-Graphy: Brunette

Following her “Home & Away” exit in 2006, Isabel craved some privacy and time-out from the spotlight. She therefore colored her hair brown to avoid being recognised as easily in the home country, and stayed under the rader for a few months. She first showcased her gorgeous new hair color at the November 14, 2006, premiere of “Catch a Fire” in Australia. She kept the brown locks for a few years, and did her first two feature films “Daybreakers” and “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” as a brunette before returning to a blonde color in 2011. Since then she has returned to her brown tresses every now and then.

Hair-o-Graphy: Pixie/short hair

Years of hair dyes and bleaching took a toll on Isabel’s hair, and towards the end of 2013 she surprised with a brand new pixie cut at the 13th Annual InStyle summer Soiree in 2013. She kept the short hair throughout 2014, and filmed “The Osiris Child” in 2015 before she let her hair fully grow back out again. In 2013 she walked the red carpets with her stunning new pixie cut, before switching over to braids on the sides in 2014 when her hair had started to grow out – this became her signature look for the year. Izzy also regularly styled her new tresses with accessories or head wear, and switched up the tone of her hair regularly throughout 2013-2015.

I do feel I am in a unique position where I can use my public status to draw attention to things that matter to me and hopefully a lot of other people as well. I don’t want to push my ideas on other people. Everyone should think for themselves.

Isabel Lucas, 2007

During her spell on the Australian soap “Home & Away”, Isabel would occasionally show up in promotional ads for charity organisations and campaigns, such as the National Breast Cancer Foundation, and she and some of her co-stars visited hospitals with Clown Doctors Australia, an initiative of The Humour Foundation (we’ve only found one photo of this, and not much information – please get in touch with us if you have any details!). She also went swimming with whales in 2005 with the Whaleman Foundation, where she learned more about their work and eventually started working with them closely in their work to stop whaling.

Following her exit from “Home & Away” in 2006, Isabel felt an urge to travel overseas and participate in projects that made her feel like she made a good impact on the world – “I wanted time to explore and experience something foreign whilst doing something proactive“. Following some work for organisations such as OzQuest and WWF, she eventually became a big part of the Save the Whales Again movement, and her work for the cause included a trip to Taiji, Japan, as well as several protests in her home country, Australia. Her for work the whales have been showcased in several documentaries, such as the Academy Award winning film “The Cove” and the documentary “Minds in the Water“.

When she began making waves in Hollywood around 2009, Isabel continued to do work for causes close to her heart – and hoped her new, international fame could help her reach out to more people. In 2010 she was a part of Summit on the Summit, where she climbed the mountain Kilimanjaro alongside many famous faces in a highly publicized project to raise water shortage awareness. The climb was documented and aired on MTV, showing how Isabel fought both illness and extreme weather to reach the top.

On this page you can learn about many of the different campaigns Isabel has been a part of, as well as find a large collection of photos, videos, press articles and graphics towards the bottom of the page. If you have any knowledge on any charitable work Isabel has done that is not covered on this page, we would be grateful if you’d contact us!

Isabel Lucas was born January 29 1985, in Melbourne, Australia. Her dad Andrew worked as a commercial pilot, which meant that Isabel, her older sister by two years Nina and their parents moved around a lot when she was young. Isabel spent parts of her childhood in several different countries, which she has later explained gave her a travel-bug that has made her travel all around the world later in life. When Isabel was 6, they moved to Switzerland, Europe, her mother’s birth country. They later lived 3 years in Jabiru in the Kakadu National Park in the Northern Territory of Australia. The family then moved to Cairns, North Queensland, where her parents still reside. When her dad retired from being a pilot, he went into biodynamic farming. Her mother, Beatrice, works as a special needs teacher.

Isabel became a vegetarian at a young age after watching the documentary Earthlings in the house of Anthony Kiedis. In addition to her vegetarianism, Miss Lucas is also a huge animal lover. Growing up, her family had many different animals. Isabel and her sister Nina even bought their own horse with “pocket money” they had saved up while working at a vegetarian Thai restaurant at a young age, who they named Tiki. Their dad set that initiative for them, to have a goal and work towards it. Isabel has been horse back riding almost her entire life, and even used to compete in various styles.

In 2002, her now agent Sharron Meissner claimed to have discovered Isabel while she was walking on the beach at Port Douglas. However, it has later been revealed in interviews with Isabel that the meeting was arranged well before that. Meissner asked if Isabel was interested in modelling, which she wasn’t at the time. Sharron then suggested acting instead, which Isabel immediately showed interest in. She had previously been involved in drama during her school years, and attended courses at the Victorian College of Arts and Queensland University of Technology.

Once she was discovered by Sharron Meissner, they arranged an audition for Isabel with the popular Australia drama series “Home & Away”. Isabel initially auditioned for the role of Kit Hunter, but while the producer Julie McGauran didn’t think she was right for that role, she was so impressed with Isabel that she created a new role specifically for her. The role was Tasha Andrews, a girl who only spoke pig Latin to help ease Isabel into the television acting job. She eventually learned English, and went on to have several popular storylines over the year – such as learning who her real parents were (a deceased and despised woman in the community, and a wealthy man who wanted nothing to do with her), finding her own family in Summer Bay, a plane crash, getting involved with a cult, getting married to her boyfriend Robbie Hunter and eventually having a baby. Isabel made her debut on the show on in July 2003, and went on to receive great acclaim for her role. In 2004 she won the TV Week Logie award for Most Popular New Female Talent. Isabel stayed on the show for 3 years, before deciding it was time to try something new. Her character, Tasha, and her husband left the bay with their new baby, receiving their perfect happily ever after ending. Isabel has often looked back fondly at her years on the show in interviews, saying it taught her a lot and that she made many life-long friendships. “I feel the people I was on the show with were an especially beautiful bunch of people. I reflect on it with gratitude and think it was a very sweet entry into the film and television industry. The community on that project were very tight-knit and supportive“. Isabel was especially close with her co-stars Chris Hemsworth, who she dated for a couple of years, Jason Smith, Indiana Evans, Sharni Vinson, Jodi Gordon and Bec Hewitt.

Isabel went on to become a popular idol in her home country, and was a regular cover girl on several popular teen magazines in Australia such as Dolly, Total Girl & Girlfriend magazine. For someone as down-to-earth and shy as Isabel, it all eventually became too overwhelming. Therefore, following her exit from the show in 2006, Isabel took the chance to escape the spotlight for a while. She colored her hair dark brown to be less recognized, and took some time away from acting to do charity work and travel to countries such as Namibia, Switzerland and England.

In 2007, Isabel auditioned for a role in “Daybreakers,” a vampire film written and directed by Peter and Michael Spiering. She went on to land the role of Alison Bromley, a human survivor in a world were almost all humans have turned into vampires. The film began filming on the Gold Coast at Warner Bros. Movie World studios and in Brisbane on 16 July 2007, and completed in September the same year. The film premiered on 11 September 2009 at the Toronto Film Festival to mixed reviews. At some point between August 10, 2007, and May 2008, Isabel filmed the World War II miniseries “The Pacific” for HBO. The show was released in March 2010, two years later, when Isabel had already received some recognition internationally through her performances in “Daybreakers” and “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen”. “The Pacific” received widespread critical acclaim, with Rotten Tomatoes’ critical consensus reading, “An honest, albeit horrifying, exploration of World War II, The Pacific is a visually stunning miniseries not for the faint of heart.”

Once Isabel had completed filming of “The Pacific” in 2008, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career further. Steven Spielberg, who Isabel had worked with on “The Pacific” (where he served as the series’ executive producer), suggested Isabel for the role of Alice to Michael Bay for his Transformers (2007) sequel “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen”. She got the part, and with its June 8, 2009 release, it became Isabel’s first released film role. While the film went on to receive low ratings, it became Miss Lucas’ big international break, and the part landed her the award “Breakout Female Performance” at the 2009 Scream Awards. Following her breakthrough, Isabel took on several different roles in films such as “The Loft”, “Careful What You Wish For” and “Knight of Cups”. She explained in interviews that she wanted to do a string of different things to continue to grow as an actress, with only one exception – she would never do horror. “I have definitely said no to things if they are not line with my convictions. I don’t have any judgement for anyone who is inclined in a different way or direction, that is fine, but for me, at this point of my life, I want to have integrity and stand for what I believe in.

With her new starlet-status, several brands and products aspired to have Isabel face their campaigns. However, Isabel has been very picky when choosing which products to endorse. “I have been offered things but tend to turn them down if they don’t resonate with things I believe in. Like leather – I’m vegetarian so it’s not in line with my beliefs so I’m not going to promote something like that.” In 2014, she signed on to promote Linney’s Cote d’Azur jewellery collection, and she has appeared in big advertising campaigns such as Tourism Victoria, Gap and Outland Denim, and in 2016 she was the face of Melbourne Spring Fashion Week. While she was excited to be their ambassador, a lot of research and thought went into her decision before she agreed to step aboard the project – “I am an ambassador for the Human Rights Arts & Film Festival in Melbourne, so before stepping into the shoes of Melbourne Spring Fashion Week ambassador I wanted to make sure I had HRAFF’s backing, so I did check with them first and they said I had their support. I was also really pleased that Melbourne Spring Fashion Week has been so supportive of my convictions concerning ethical fashion. Nearly everything I’m wearing to the runway shows is sustainable, or the labels are taking some kind of conscious steps in that direction.

Whilst she’s passionate about acting and her work, Isabel is even more fervent about her activism. In 2004, Lucas served as a spokesperson for the Australian National Breast Cancer Foundation and has since provided support to many organisations, including World Vision, The Humour Foundation, Oxfam Community Aid Abroad, Global Green Plan, Save the Whales Again and Sea Shepherd. In October 2007, she was part of a group of 30 people from Surfers for Cetaceans, including American actress Hayden Panettiere, surfers David Rastovich and Vaya Phrachanh, who took part in a protest against the dolphin culling in Taiji, Wakayama, Japan. The group paddled out on surfboards to the dolphins in a peaceful paddle-out ceremony, to raise awareness about the issue. However, while they were getting ready to leave the country on the following day, they learned that Japanese fishermen were going out to kill dolphins in the cove that same day. Isabel and a few of the others decided to return for another peaceful paddle-out ceremony, but this time they were forced to turn around after being intercepted by one of the fishing boats. They drove straight to Kansai International Airport and left the country to avoid being arrested for trespassing by the Japanese police following the protest. There is still an outstanding arrest warrant for Isabel in Japan. In an interview, Lucas stated that the cull was grounded on purely economic reasons, claiming polls show that 70% of Japanese oppose whaling. In 2010 Isabel took part in another big charity project, by climbing Mount Kilimanjaro with the Summit on the Summit team to raise awareness of the global clean water crisis.

Isabel has regularly been described as a shy and quiet person, though she states that that’s only until you get to know her. She has spoken out about being overwhelmed by how people would see her when she went on her first audition for Home and Away, and that acting has since helped her become confident and sociable. “I like to keep relatively separate from the buzz and keep grounded. I prioritise what is important to me and there is a lot happening in the world right now that is distracting us from the more important issues on the planet. I don’t want to be part of the distraction, I want to be part of the solution and keeping positive.” Isabel has always been private about her personal life, especially her love life. “My whole life is based on listening to my gut instinct, so I follow my body and listen to it. It’s usually a very quick moment and it’s a real instinct of “yes” or “no”. I’m so grateful because my intuition is always right.” She dated her “Home and Away” co-star Chris Hemsworth during their time on the show, before breaking up around 2007. Isabel then dated actor Adrian Grenier for some time, and between 2010 and 2012 she was in a relationship with the Australian singer Angus Stone – who she did several projects with, including a music video for his song “Bird on the Buffalo” and an ad for Protect Our Coral Sea.

After several years in Los Angeles, Isabel craved the environment and privacy she had in her home-country Australia. While she says she appreciated her experience in the states, she states that it became clear to her that it wasn’t a healthy environment for her over time. “It’s just like being in a little fishbowl and over a long time it’s not healthy. It’s not a natural, healthy sense of community, we don’t function naturally that way.” Therefore, in 2016, Isabel bought a treehouse close by the surf in Byron Bay to $857,500, where she has been living since. “I love the ocean, especially seeing the whales migrating, and all the dolphins. I love being able to walk to the beach and have healthy, pristine nature around. It’s very encouraging and inspiring.” Next to her acting jobs, she is a beekeper – “it’s my way to support healthy bee populations and natural pollination. I prioritise and practise conscious healthy living.” Still, she remains passionate about her acting. She taken on several different classes to grow as an actress, including The Perdekamp Emotional Method workshops. PEM is a fundamental acting tool that ensures the skillful, exact and instant use of authentic emotions, and following her classes Isabel has also been an ambassador for the class. However, even though she is now living in Australia, she aspire to continue making films in the US as well. “It just felt right to be based in Australia and to travel there for work to film and to shoot projects. For me it’s just prioritising lifestyle and what fills you with joy and what is replenishing creatively and for me it’s having shorter visits to LA but more frequent, as opposed to being based over there.”

Isabel is a big supporter of freedom of choice, and has been vocal about her concerns regarding the potential of human rights breeches following the Covid-19 pandemic of 2020. In 2020 and 2021, several news paper wrongly started to refer to her as an “anti-vaxx activist”, despite Isabel’s repeated claims that she wasn’t against vaccines in themselves – she was against making them mandatory, and forcing anyone to take one against their will. The tabloids kept on twisting her words and narrowed her long career as an activist fighting for both human and animal rights, conservation of the environment and so much more into one single thing – despite Isabel not ever stating that she was against vaccines. On social media she explained that she has been vaccinated her entire life, and that she is a supporter of vaccines – she just wants to encourage open and honest conversations regarding mandatory vaccines, vaccine passports and freedom of choice. She has repeatedly quoted the saying “You can be in favour of something, but opposed to it being mandatory. You can be against something, but not in favour of it being banned” on her Instagram following the claims, as well as the words by Anna Gala: “What is right for you, may not be right for me. What is right for me, may not be right for you. But what is NOT right for either of us is being stripped of the freedom to choose what is right for ourselves”.

So what’s up next for miss Lucas? She has landed the role of Marie Curie in an upcoming film titled “Radiant”, which is set to start filming in 2022. She has also landed a part in the “The Ogilvy Fortune”, but the Covid-19 pandemic has temporarily paused the production.

I feel like we live in a society where competition gets pushed in our face a lot. But success for me would be seeing a healthy world, healthy community, and friends and family around me.

On Life & herself

  • I’ve always been quiet, more of an observer.
  • I was a barefoot earth child for a couple of years.
  • I like to keep mobile. It keeps my mind awake.
  • My dad is a pilot so I think I was born with the travel bug.
  • Its important when you’re young to experience different countries through travel; it gives you a greater perspective on life and yourself.
  • I find it attractive when someone reveals themself to you. People who are really honest and real, who can just be themselves. Humility, spontaneity and compassion are beautiful qualities.
  • I think as an Australian it’s quite easy to pick up the American accent because we hear it a lot in different films and growing up, it’s around us a lot more.
  • My best friend was Aboriginal. She taught me about ‘bush tucker’—the food of the land, the different things you could eat if you got lost in the bush, like grasses and berries. There’s this tree called the billygoat plum—the fruit is quite nice.
  • I always bring my crystals: I’ve collected them since I was a little girl. Whatever we can do to make ourselves feel grounded or comfortable in a space is important.
  • Climate change is an issue that affects everyone at every level – no matter how rich you are or where you live on the planet, we’re all in this together, so there’s an opportunity for this to be a really unifying thing for the world.
  • I do feel I am in a unique position where I can use my public status to draw attention to things that matter to me and hopefully a lot of other people as well. I don’t want to push my ideas on other people. Everyone should think for themselves.
  • For me, being environmentally aware has always been a passion of mine. I think growing up in a household where we always had quite a green farm and aware of the fact that we’re citizens on the planet, I feel very blessed to have lived in such beautiful parts of Australia like Kakadu and falling in love with nature. So conservation and supporting organisations that share that passion is something I’ve enjoyed taking part in.
  • I can surf… well, I can stand up but I’m not a confident surfer. I just don’t spend enough time practicing.
  • I spend a lot of time reading, scripts mostly. But right now I’m reading a great book by Joseph Campbell, he’s a brilliant writer. It’s called Letting Go. It’s all about how we hold pain in our bodies, and how to release it. I don’t read much fiction. I love delving into other things that I’d like to learn about. It’s all very psychological and philosophical at times.

On acting, her career & Hollywood

  • Often, when I was younger, I wasn’t quite sure if I was in the right role, so to speak, being an actress because I always felt like: ‘How am I really helping the world? Can I do any good if I am doing this for my profession?’ I feel like I didn’t quite own the role. And I think things have moved around and the puzzle pieces have fallen into place and it does make sense.
  • As long as it’s not in the term of: ‘You’ve changed.’ It would make me sad if someone said that. But change, of course, is growth, and anything that is not growing is either paralysed or it’s not alive, because that’s life; we always change and we grow. – On whether stardom has changed her
  • Acting kind of chose me.
  • The cast was welcoming but I was not confident about being in front of a lot of people. It encouraged me to come out of my shell and trust myself and that everything was going to be OK. – On her early experiences as Tasha on Home and Away
  • All I want to do when I finish the show [Home & Away] is go backpacking around Vietnam, Nepal and Tibet.
  • I just said yes to opportunities that came my way.
  • Tasha was such a unique character, with an extremely unusual background… But it was a challenge in that there wasn’t much substance to base the character on or relate to, which is great for an imaginative person like myself.
  • I hadn’t really considered coming to LA, but I’ve been based here now for about a year and a half. I just felt very fortunate to be able to be even auditioning. I mean, the magnitude of this production is incredible and to get to work twice now with Steven Spielberg is something which I can barely believe.
  • Los Angeles is a mad town. I’m kind of in denial about living there. It’s a funny place, an odd environment to live in … but I’ve decided to like it.
  • (On whether she’d do nudity) It would really depend on how I felt about the script. If nudity was required to make it “full”, then I’d consider it. If it was a gimmick to get people to watch it… that’s not what it’s about for me.
  • I’ll always be grateful for the experience on Home and Away for teaching me so much. But I’m ready to dig deeper and embrace new projects, get my hands dirty with other quirky, imaginative characters.
  • I auditioned for lots of different projects, all grass roots at the moment, so I can’t really speak about them, but I met with lots of agents, including Kate Winslet’s. She (Winslet) actually called when I was in the meeting. She was flying out to the Oscars the next day. It was all so surreal.
  • I don’t really get nervous for auditions, because I just see them as mini acting classes. There’s no need to have an attachment to the outcome because it’s out of your hands after that.
  • People instantly assume you can’t have a platonic friendship with someone of the opposite sex. I think this may be specific to L.A. – or America.
  • I go by intuition. Work-wise, that means asking myself if a role will push me outside my comfort zone, challenge me to learn something new.
  • My first audition was the worst I have ever done, ever.
  • I’ve been doing a few courses lately. One about Reiki and Prahnic healing, and an acting course. It’s really important – especially being on a show like Home and Away where you can fall into patterns – to keep your creative juices flowing.
  • In LA you have two days to prep for an audition and you really feel a momentum. You feel you’re actually going forward, you’re improving with each audition.
  • I have found a really grounded, beautiful group of friends and there are some really beautiful natural places around LA, which was really important for me as well.
  • It’s just like being in a little fishbowl and over a long time it’s not healthy [about life in Hollywood]. It’s not a natural, healthy sense of community, we don’t function naturally that way. It just felt right to be based in Australia and to travel there for work to film and to shoot projects. For me it’s just prioritising lifestyle and what fills you with joy and what is replenishing creatively and for me it’s having shorter visits to LA but more frequent, as opposed to being based over there.
  • There’s so much that’s not important – the photos, what you wear on the red carpet and so much pressure to come across the right way.
  • With acting, there is quite a superficial side where it is based around money and wanting to succeed and fame, and that’s OK. But there is another side, which is about knowledge and storytelling. It is about creatively exploring characters and different concepts, ideas and stories. That’s the part I’m attracted to.

On Fashion & Beauty

  • I don’t really have a style. I wear what is comfortable, different bits and pieces. I guess it’s a more bohemian, alternative style
  • I shop very rarely. When I really need something, I’ll go shopping or I will head to the markets – it’s a calmer atmosphere there.
  • I Love wearing what’s colorful or comfortable or makes me feel good
  • My style has definitely matured over the years. I guess that’s a natural progression as I grow older. When I was younger I was more inspired by gypsy, bohemian, lace and free-spirited designs. I still am drawn to this kind of flavour and feel, but it has become more practical and more comfort-based.
  • I think fashion should be fun and I have quite a carefree, maybe even nonchalant, attitude towards it. I dress for comfort and I don’t give it too much thought.
  • I really enjoy combining the beautiful vintage op-shop pieces I find with a designer eco-shoe or a beautiful felt or textured hat. I guess my style is mix-and-match. You could call it eclectic.
  • It’s very important to me to be wearing clothes that are ethical and sustainable in all facets of production. I am particularly drawn to brands that are eco-friendly, conscious about their carbon footprint and serious about recycling.
  • One million plastic bags are used every minute and never used again and cheap, mass-produced clothing is following a similar path. The fashion industry has an immense opportunity to change and become a frontline leader for reducing emissions and becoming symbiotic with nature.

On Others

  • He’s very inspiring, the way he lives with so much humility and such an open heart, and he inspires me creatively as well. The word that I could use, if I had to use a word to describe him, is true. Just true, down to the ground. – On Angus Stone

If you want to create your own Isabel graphics, you’ve come to the right place! Here we offer various Izzy-related resources, to help you on the way to the perfect wallpaper, avatar, blend, signature or any other creation you have in mind. If you create something using any of our resources, we’d really love to see your result – please send us your artwork through our contact form!

PNGs

What are PNGs? PNGs are images where the background is cut out, which gives you the freedom to put it on any background/texture you want! They’re great for graphic making, as they’re highly flexible. Cutting out an image often takes a long time, so here we’ve saved you some time by making several of Isabel for you! Simply save them, open in photoshop, and paste them on any background you want.

PSDs

To download a PSD, click the preview photo. We have categorized them by projects we find it fit the best with, but most of the PSDs will work with other projects as well. However, al our TV / film PSDs are made to work with screencaps – so they will be too bright to use on regular photos. If you want to work with event, photoshoots or TV / film promotionals or stills, use the Event / Candids / Photoshoot PSDs. Have fun!

PSD is the default file extension for Photoshop. It is widely used as an independent learning tool to demonstrate the layering of adjustments, masks, text, clipping paths and more.

Here we’ve created some which we’ve found that fits well with different projects of Dianna’s. We’ve also created some which usually goes well with photoshoot and/or event photos. Please note that they won’t look the same on every picture. You’re free to play around with the settings of them.

Don’t know how to use a PSD? Then check out this great tutorial over a Tumblr.

Unicorn is an unofficial fansite dedicated to the incredibly talented actress and activist Isabel Lucas. We have a large gallery with original and high quality screen captures, scans, event pictures, photoshoots and more. We also offer media downloads, detailed information and the latest news on Isabel and her amazing career, with hopefully many more features to come! We strive to bring you an informative, frequently updated and fun fansite resource without being intrusive of Isabel’s personal life.

The Beginning

I, Ann, had been a fan of Isabel for several years, and always found it sad that she didn’t have any active fansites. Early 2021, when I was cooped up inside due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, I decided to finally create one for her. I got my friend Sara to help me set up the site (she’s a lot more tech-savvy than I am), and she offered to help me collect photos and screencap a couple of her films. As you can imagine, she fell in love with Isabel as much as I was! She decided to join me in April 2021, and we quickly began collecting photos, videos and other Izzy-related media. We hoped to launch May 2021, but we quickly learned that Isabel both has a long career and an extensive list of activist work on the side – and we wanted to do both parts justice, which we needed several months to ensure. The more we learned about her activist work, especially everything she has done for “Save the Whales Again” and her Mount Kilimanjaro climb, the more we looked up to her – and the site became really special to us both, and we agreed to keep working on the site for a few more months to make sure we could provide a resource on Isabel that would provide both career and charity work information.

The Name

We both agreed we wanted an original name for the site, preferably one that matched Isabel’s unique personality. When we came across this photo of Isabel while collecting for the gallery, we remembered how several of Izzy’s friends/co-stars call her a unicorn on her instagram page – and instantly decided it was the perfect description for her.

The Girls

Our names are Sara and Ann, and we’re both in our late 20s as of the site launch. We’ve been making websites for over a decade, with Rose McIver Online being our original fansite. We both have a passion for web design and content writing, and find that a fansite is a perfect way to use our creativity in a fun way that also allows us to meet other people with our same hobby, while supporting people we admire and look up to. Get to know us a little more by learning some Izzy-related facts about us below!

The F.A.Qs

Does Isabel know about the site?
As far as we are aware, no she does not. She does follow our instagram however, and has liked and commented on our posts, so there is a chance she has seen it through that.

Are you in touch with Isabel?
No, we are not. We have no way of contacting Isabel or anyone related to her (we want to avoid bothering her on Instagram), and no messages sent to us will ever be read by Isabel herself. We are just two fans, with no official connection to Isabel or her management.

Can I use your photos or graphics?
Yes, of course! The only graphics you are not allowed to re-use elsewhere is the layouts on our main site and gallery, as that was created especially for Unicorn. All graphics in our graphics archive are free for all fans of Isabel to use as they please, but we do appreciate it if you credit us when using them on social media. Please do not re-post our photos on other fansites or VK pages without permission though, as we have spent a lot of time and resources collecting what we have. 2011: Young Hollywood Awards – Female Star Of Tomorrow

The 2011 Young Hollywood Awards were presented by Bing on Friday, May 20th, at Club Nokia in Los Angeles. For the occasion, Isabel stunned on the red carpet in an elegant Ralph Lauren Spring 2011 halter dress. She was presented the Star of Tomorrow Female Award by her Red Dawn co-star Josh Peck, who held a nice little speech about her (“Isabel is a gem of a person” – we agree!) – while also making fun at the delayed release of their film.

Actor of the year went to Garrett Hedlund, Breakthrough of the year to Hailee Steinfeld, Actress of the year to elle Fanning, TV actor of the year to Jesse Williams (Grey’s Anatomy), TV Actress of the year to Aimee Teegarden (Friday Night Lights), Male star of tomorrow to Armie Hammer and Cast to watch to the “Pretty Little Liars” cast (Lucy Hale, Ashley Benson, Troian Bellisario, Shay Mitchell)

Thank you Josh for those kind words. This is lovely. I’d like to accept this award on behalf of all young, aspiring actors and to encourage them to never give up, despite the setbacks that may come their way. May we all always remember to dream. And I’d also like to take this opportunity to congratulate all the other honourees here tonight. Thank you so much.

The film was also selected to screen at the Independent Film Quarterly Film Festival in New York, The Bahamas International Film Festival and the 2011 Anchorage International Film Festival. – Source

2006: Dolly Teen Choice Awards – King and Queen of Teen (with Chris Hemsworth)

Teen idols, television stars, reality TV has-beens and other detritus of Australian celebrity turned up at Luna Park last night for the Dolly Teen Choice Awards. Don’t worry, we didn’t really know what they were either, but we’re reliably informed they are prizes voted on by 66,000 teenage readers of Dolly magazine, across 12 categories.

To find out more, we went to the best source we know on popular culture, Wikipedia. The main award was for King and Queen of Teen, won by Isabel Lucas and Chris Hemsworth, who play Tasha and Kim in Home and Away. – Source

It was held at the Crown Palladium in Melbourne, and broadcast on the Nine Network. The ceremony was hosted by Eddie McGuire, and guests included Mel Brooks and Ronn Moss. We have just opened our icon archive, which contains more than 500 icons and avatars of Isabel in the sizes 100×100, 300×300 and 400×400! The smaller ones are perfect for forums, discord and WhatsApp, whereas the larger ones can be used on all social media profiles. Most of the avatars are created by either Ann or  myself, but thanks to Cherry Gem for some of the photoshoot ones. Also, thanks to my good friend Kaci for the beautiful theme base! We hope you’ll like this first addition to Unicorn, your upcoming Isabel Lucas fansite. Stay tuned for the full opening in a couple of weeks!

Hello, and welcome to Unicorn! We are the only fansite dedicated to Aussie actress and activist, Isabel Lucas. All our pages and gallery are still a work in progress, but the full site will be launched in June/July 2021! We will eventually have a detailed information and career section dedicated to Isabel and her work, a large photo gallery, a press archive and a video archive. While waiting, I hope you’ll enjoy our gorgeous header by the talented Cherry Gem Design! We will also share some graphics and random photos while we wait for the full site launch.

The reason we decided to launch a temporary version right now is that Isabel’s film “Bosch & Rockit” and a TV show called “Eden” which is listed on her IMDB page (but with few details, so I guess we will just have to wait until June 10 to see if she’s actually in it) are both set to be released in the coming month, and we want fans to have a place to find all the latest news. Stay tuned for the full launch of Unicorn, and follow us on twitter!

Welcome to the Press Archive section of Unicorn! Here you will find an extensive archive with interviews/articles/transcripts/etc found online, in magazines or various videos pertaining to Isabel and her projects. Many of the articles listed have been transcribed by us specifically for this site, so we would appreciate it if our work was not reproduced elsewhere. You can easily navigate to a certain category in the “Jump to” (articles, reviews, interviews, etc.), or view the articles listed by year below.
